This holiday season, Liberty employees will be spreading some holiday cheer! Your Community Services Team, District Office Staff, and Maintenance Team have some special plans for your community holiday events in December. Your team members are working hard to bring fun and memorable opportunities to connect with other military families right to your door step this month.

Liberty Military housing is committed to enriching the lives of military families through providing homes and vibrant communities Your feedback is an important piece in helping us accomplish this goal, and we want to ensure we provide you with an avenue to initially address your needed repair, suggestion, or concern and the process to escalate it, should that be necessary Below is an outline of our easy Three-Step process for concerns and opportunities for feedback

Below are a few commonly asked questions from our residents that you may have been wondering about too.
I am getting a new pet. What do I need to do?
All homes are required to have a $250 pet deposit and a PetScreening profile per pet If a new pet has been added to your family, please contact your designated district office to send you the appropriate forms
I am leaving my home for vacation. What do I need to do?
When leaving your home for an extended period of time (more than two weeks), please contact your district office to notify them and fill out a Vacation and Extended Absence Form This is to ensure the safety of your home if anything were to happen during your absence or if anyone has permission to enter your home
How do I transfer to another home?
Residents may be transferred to another home if they meet one of two criteria’s; 1) number of dependents in the home has increased 2) service member outranks the community Reach out to your designated district office to fill out the transfer form Transfers are dependent on district approval and home availability
What district office do I reach out to for my neighborhood?
Each of our district offices oversee and manage specific communities

Looking to get rid of your tree after Christmas? Put it out on your curb next to your cans on your scheduled service pick up day January and LeMay will pick it up and dispose of it for FREE Must be a natural real tree Must be no bigger than 4 feet or must be cut down to 4 feet sections Removal all tensile, decorations, tree stands and plastic bags

The app makes it easy for your family to manage the maintenance of your Liberty Military Housing home, even when you are on the go. If you have an emergency in your home that requires immediate attention, please contact Liberty At Your Service, 888-578-4141.
The Garrison Command team is looking for spouses of neighborhoods that would like to serve their community as a mayor.
The mayors act as a voice for our residents and engage on a quarterly basis with Liberty Military Housing.
If you are interested in being a mayor, please scan the QR code and get started on submitting your application to the Garrison Command team.

Submit photos of your holiday decorated house in the comments of our designated Facebook post by December 20th.
House photos will then be posted on December 21st for residents to vote on. Winner will be selected on December 23rd.

Eco-Friendly Holidays Made Easy

In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, so many of us become consumed with buying gifts, hosting or attending parties, and decorating our homes. In the process, we often lose sight of the comfort and joy of the season and forget to consider the environmental impact of our festive activities.
Here are some simple ways to embrace a more eco-friendly holiday season
Travel Green. Take public transportation to your events or carpool with family and friends. Bundle up and take a bike ride or even a walk if the event is close by.
Celebrate Green. Throw a green holiday party this year and choose fresh and local food by visiting farmer’s markets. Reuse or repurpose items around your home for decorations. Use reusable cutlery and serve-ware to cut down on waste Choose to send digital invitations to reduce paper waste
Give Green. The most sustainable gifts are those that are durable, easy to repair, and can be reused or recycled. Consider giving the gift of your time, or sharing an experience, such as attending an event. Upcycle items, create your own handmade gifts, and always bring reusable bags when shopping. Additionally, choose reusable or recyclable wrapping paper. Be sure to recycle packaging materials properly by keeping them clean and dry.
See Green. Take time to step outside and enjoy a walk in the woods to celebrate the season. In the Pacific Northwest, where shorter days and the busy holiday rush can easily fill your schedule, a moment of fresh air and quiet can be the perfect way to restore your mood. Check out Madigan FIT trail for an easy children and dog friendly walk.
Perhaps the most important tip is to maintain your eco-friendly habits long after the holidays. With some simple sustainable changes and creativity, maintaining an eco-friendly lifestyle from year to year is easy and rewarding.
NOVEMBER TOWNHALL RECAP
Our Director of Operations, Angie Cardoso was honored to join Col. Park and Col. Sokora for the quarterly housing Town Hall via Facebook Live in November. They discussed project EERE and how it would affect residents, our new homes in Meriwether Landing being built next year, holiday gate closures, upcoming events and more. They also answered some good questions submitted by our residents.
