Liberty Military Housing has partnered with Take the Challenge Now Foundation to launch Take the Challenge & Take Charge April 25-May 4, 2022. Take the Challenge & Take Charge is a ten day activity challenge that teaches constructive ways for families to reduce or eliminate the amount of time spent on screens and to find new ways to connect with those around them. Throughout the challenge, families will learn how to incorporate more activities like reading, physical
activity, and spending time together and less time on screens. We believe by offering military families resources to help them reduce the time they spend using screens and digital devices, we can promote family togetherness.

Mental Health Awareness Despite the openness that many civilian populations feel about sharing challenges relating to mental health, many in the military community don’t experience the same. But that doesn’t mean military communities don’t need access to mental health resources. Challenges often arise in the military community, from unknowns about a service member’s career to stress relating to constant moves. If you or someone you know is experiencing mental health issues, these resources for the military community might help. inTransition offers one-on-one coaching for all service members and veterans who need support accessing mental health care during a transition, like returning from a deployment, changing jobs, or transitioning out of service. Military Crisis Line connects a person in need to a trained counselor with a single phone call or click of a mouse. This confidential, immediate help is available 24/7 at no cost to active-duty, Guard, and Reserve members, their families, and friends. Moving Forward is a free, online educational and life coaching program that teaches problem-solving skills to help you handle life’s challenges better. It is designed to be especially helpful for veterans, service members, and their families. Remember that you should always carefully vet mental health providers. This list does not imply LMH endorsement.

First, sign up for Commissary Rewards. After you’ve created an account, you can view and clip digital coupons. These coupons are stored on your card, so there’s no need to remember to bring them to the store! Next, make sure you check out the current promotions for your commissary and check out what’s on sale, too. Commissary brands are also an excellent way to save money - these are commissary branded products that are every bit just as good as the name brands.
If you and your family are facing food insecurity-related issues, we urge you to explore this resource page that details steps you can take to locate food pantries in your area.
Visit Our New Little Library! You can find a Little Library in each district by the District Office.
Thank you for taking the annual Tenant Satisfaction Survey. We appreciate everyone’s feedback. LMH, along with government partners, gain better insight into current issues and potential resolutions to those issues, which results in program improvements that benefit current and future residents.
At Liberty Military Housing, we believe that connecting our military families with essential resources strengthens individuals and allows the military community to flourish. One such resource is access to books.
