Bidding You All A Fond Fair-well! I can hardly believe that more than four decades have passed since I first started working at the fairgrounds, where has the time gone? My fairgrounds career started in 1980 as a member of the maintenance crew setting up events, grounds maintenance and of course the annual Nez Perce County Fair. In 1987 I submitted my application for the open position of General Manager and to my pleasant surprise I was hired by the Nez Perce County Fair Board in July 1987. My position at the fairgrounds was a great experience with many great memories. As fair manager, I feel my greatest accomplishment would be keeping the operation effectively running within our annual budget, which would not have been possible without all the hard working staff, board members, county commissioners, 4-H community and especially the great support of our community.
