Mid-Carolina Electric sponsors the Bright Ideas program to allow educators to compete for funding outside of often-limited school district resources. Grants of up to $1,000 are available to certified public and private schools in grades K-12 in Lexington School Districts 1, 2, 3, and 5. Saluda County Schools and teachers at Pinegrove, Rhame and Sandel Elementary and Columbia High are also eligible. The projects encourage and engage students in creative ways of learning.

• •
Use hands on experiments such as skits, puppets, song and dance to learn a second language. Discover how problems affect specific ecosystems, and learn how to solve those problems.
