Funday Friday - Fall

End the week with fun games, activities and crafts! Each week the group will focus on developing and fostering social skills ranging from creating meaningful friendships to being a team player. This program is inclusive, all abilities are encouraged to join!

Adaptive Tennis Lessons - Fall $120 Resident • $130 Non-Resident

Adaptive Tennis Lessons are available to children and teens who identify with having a disability and/or may require additional support and modifications to be successful within the program. The lessons are run at a slower pace with smaller class sizes and staff who have been trained to work with individuals of all abilities. All levels are welcome as the class will go over basic strokes while playing games, practicing skills, providing social interaction with others, and having fun!

Lex Sweat! $190 Resident • $200 Non-Resident

Learn how to use the gym equipment and feel confident while working out! Under the supervision of the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and staff, participants will learn to use the exercise machines and equipment in the gym and participate in exercise circuits with modifications available as needed. Everyone in the group will complete the workout of the day using the exercise machines and needed gym equipment and the end of the session, will receive copies of the workouts completed to do on their own time!

Celebrate the start of the fall season with family games, activities and crafts. This event is sensory friendly and fun for the whole family! Entry is $5 per person with a cap of $20 per family.

Let’s Kick It

Let’s Kick It is an inclusive soccer program that will teach the basics of the game at a level and pace that is comfortable for each participant. The practices will be led by Therapeutic Recreation staff and will focus on soccer skills and techniques while incorporating social games.

INCLUSION SUPPORT

Inclusion support is available to participants of all ages and abilities upon request. Inclusion support is an individualized process designed to fit the needs of each participants and promote success within the program. Lexington Recreation provides the following reasonable accommodations: an increase in staff ratios, working with an inclusion aide in the program, game or rule modification, environment modification and implementing visual schedules, reward charts, token boards, social stories and other inclusion tools.
