Children’s yoga is a play based version of traditional hatha yoga, but it is geared towards children’s bodies and minds. There is a greater variety of movement and vocalization in children’s classes than the standard adult class. The goal of a children’s yoga class is to enhance the child’s everyday experiences and develop a more aware and calm state, through the process of self-discovery in yoga asana (poses), focused breathing, playful games and other self-regulatory activities.
