Time for Time Change! It's that time again! On Saturday, Mar 15, weekend club run start times will change to 7:00AM. The 7:00AM start will remain in effect through Spring and Summer until Daylight Saving Time ends in the Fall. Stick around after the March 15 run for a potluck breakfast celebrating the change of seasons. Bring your favorite dish to share.

Grasslands Trail Run aid station Each year RAW shows up at the Grasslands Trail Run, both to race and to sponsor an aid station. This years race is March 22nd. If you are not running, here is your opportunity to volunteer with a terrific group at a fun race. To sign up, add your name to the signup sheet at the clubhouse, or email Joe Luccioni for more info.

The RAW Board Needs YOU! Do you have ideas that could improve the club? Skills that would benefit the membership? Four positions will open up this July, and YOU might be a perfect fit. For more information about what is involved and/or how to run, contact RAW president Joe Luccioni.

I am very thankful that I found the C25K that you offered. I was a serious couch person and did not know where to start. Since your training I have done two 5K and am signed up for several more. Everything was great... I am a fan!!!

We are always looking for content to include in the FOOTPRINT. If you have a running/walking related story or photo you'd like to share with the club, consider submitting it for the FOOTPRINT. Click here for submission guidelines. Deadline for the April Issue is March 15th.

In Step With... ISW | In Step With Kathryn Gleghorn What's the history of your running "habit" when did you start? How did you progress? I started running in the 6th grade. The high school track and cross country coach was my English teacher and he had a running program where we logged weekly miles on a poster board on the classroom door. From there I joined the track and cross country teams in junior high and high school. Then I just kept on running. I've run everything from a quarter mile up through the marathon distance and everything in between. How did you find RAW and when did you join? I found RAW via their website. As we've moved around the country over the years checking out the local running scene has always been part of our due diligence in researching the new location. We moved to Texas in July of 2006 and we joined RAW the very next month. What's your favorite place to run local? anywhere? My favorite place to run locally is to go right out my front door and run through Meadowmere Park. My all time favorite place to run is Central Park. What day in your running career would you like to live over again? I'd like a "doover" on my February 2000 marathon in Austin. I ran a 4:01:56 marathon, but had I known I was so close to running a sub 4 hour marathon I might have been able to do a few different things to shave off a minute. What's your best advice for a newbie, or any runner for that matter? My best advice for a newbie runner is to understand that you are a runner because you run. It doesn't matter if you never run a race, if you don't aspire to run a marathon or if you take the occasional walking break. Just run! Would you like to nominate someone to be featured for Giving Back or In Step With? Send us an email!

MEMBERSHIP FAQ Belynda Warner, RAW Public Relations CoDirector

RAW Gives Back Thank you to Bold in the Cold race directors, sponsors, volunteers, and participants, all of whom contributed to make the race a success. Race Directors Sakina Vidacek and Julie Smith, along with the RAW Board are proud to announce that a donation of $1,000 from the race proceeds has been made to the RRCA's Kids Run The Nation program. The goal of Kids Run The Nation is to establish a locally managed youth running program in every grade school in America. click here for more information

We've heard plenty of positive feedback about the new digital FOOTPRINT, but we have received questions about membership renewal dates and membership management. Below are answers to some of the more common questions. Since I no longer have an address label on my FOOTPRINT, how do I know my membership renewal date? Your RAW membership details are now maintained on RunSignUp, an online race and running club management program. One month prior to your annual membership renewal date, you will receive a renewal reminder at your email address on file. The email will contain instructions on how to renew and when. What if I have never set up an account with RunSignUp? If you've never set up an account with RunSignUp, your renewal email will include instructions on how to claim your account, using the email address on file with RAW. Once you claim your account, you will be able to review and update any account information, such as address, phone, and alternate email address. Can I view and update my account information prior to my renewal date? Yes! If your email address or any other detail has changed, you can manage your account any time by logging in to RunSignUp here. (Click on Sign In in the upper right corner.) If you don't yet have an account, click here to enter your email address and receive instructions on how to claim your account. Remember to use your email address provided to RAW; you can change it once you claim and log in to your account. (Membership renewal links are included in every issue of FOOTPRINT as well, so keeping your information up to date should be a breeze.)

So are you saying I can renew online only? Nope! While many members prefer the convenience of renewing online, we realize you may want to renew in person. You may renew by completing a membership form at the clubhouse and dropping it with your check in the dropbox on the wall near the coffee machine. To renew by mail, click here for a printable membership form. Paper forms are manually processed at the end of each month, so please renew early to be sure not to miss an issue of FOOTPRINT. Please be sure to include your email address on the membership form. I have a family membership. Can multiple family members receive the digital FOOTPRINT? Yes. In your RunSignUp account, or on your paper renewal form, be sure to include your family member names and email addresses. This benefit is available only to members who pay for the upgrade to the family membership. What if I don't remember the email address I provided, or if I never provided an email address to begin with? If the Claim Account process does not lead you to your RAW membership account, please contact Diane, RAW Membership Director by clicking here.

Your allvolunteer FOOTPRINT and membership coordinators appreciate your patience during our transition to the digital age!

RAW Around Town...

THE COWTOWN 2014 During the weekend of Feb 2223, RAW was represented in every Cowtown event. From the 5K to the 50K, RAW runners turned in impressive performances. RAW runners celebrated several age group wins, many first time marathon and ultra finishes, and (despite the challenging course and tricky weather) more than a few personal bests. Congratulations to everyone who "earned their spurs" at The Cowtown 2014!
