DECEMBER FEATURE As the holiday season unfolds and the year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to extend our warmest wishes to each and every member of our wonderful 55 Plus Community. Thank you all for being an essential part of our community and we hope you and your loved ones share a holiday season filled with peace, happiness, and all the magic this time of year brings. It was such a pleasure to have so many of you join us for our Thanksgiving feast last month. It was heartwarming to see our Thankfulness Tree in the large hall filled with such lovely messages and reminders of what we have to be thankful for. We also had quite a workout in November during our Social Dance, where we learned some new Country Western Line Dance moves from our instructor Mandi. This December we look forward to several holiday-themed events to fill you with good cheer. Friday, December 8th, we will be having our “Swinging into the Holidays” Social Dance where Lesley will be giving a Swing Dance instruction, and we will be enjoying LIVE music from Island Wave! Monday, December 11th, we will be getting into the festive spirit with our “Holiday Morning” Social in the Youth Recreation Center. We can’t wait to sprinkle some holiday magic into this month! Please don’t forget to RSVP for all these events as space is limited and going fast! We will have a few special information events happening in December as well! For those that have suffered hearing loss, please sign up for our Clear Captions “Pizza and Learn Event” on December 6. Collette Tours will be returning for more Domestic and International Trip information on December 14th. A special “Ride and Taste Los Gatos” event will be held Wednesday, December 13th where 10 individuals can sign up to learn about VTA public transportation, take a free bus ride, and enjoy a free lunch for participating. All events must have an RSVP (See pages 4 and 8 for details) Please remember the Adult Recreation Center will be closed December 18th-January 5th due to construction. We look forward to seeing you all when we return January 8th for another amazing year. Warmest Wishes and a Happy New Year from the entire 55 Plus Team!
