FEBRUARY FEATURE
Happy February 55 Plus Members! The 55 Plus program is 496 members strong and continues to grow! We are so thankful you are here. January was a busy time at the Adult Recreation Center and we want to thank you for your continued patience and flexibility as our programs navigate around the continued construction. Our January guest speakers on Identifying & Avoiding Scams & SALA on Elder Abuse were very informative and shared valuable tips with our attendees. As a reminder, all 55 Plus memberships for 2023 expired on December 31st so don’t forget to renew your membership for 2024 to enjoy all of our membership offerings. This February, grab your sweetheart, galantines, guylantines, or come solo, and join us for the Winter Waltz Social Dance on February 9th! Lesley will teach a 30-minute dance lesson, then we will open the floor and DJ Hal will keep us dancing. Purchase your ticket at the front office, the cost is $5 for members and $10 for the public. Light refreshments will be served and maybe a few sweet treats too! February 1st Collette Tours returns to discuss Domestic and International Trips. By popular demand, Sally Duplantier will be returning as our guest speaker on the 15th to discuss Sleep and Insomnia. RSVP at the 55 Plus office. AARP Tax Aid is back February through April, schedule your appointment as soon as possible as spots are going fast. Intake forms are now available for pickup in the 55 Plus office. HICAP appointments and AARP Driver Safety Courses are also available. Don’t forget to sign up for our Hands on Art class on the 29th. We will be making pressed flower candles to keep or share with those close to you. Please note that we will have holiday office closures February 19th and 23rd. Sending lots of love this month. Sincerely, The 55 Plus Team
