JANUARY FEATURE
Happy New Year Members!! We are so excited to kick off the new year with all of you. In December there was no shortage of Holiday cheer. We were “Swinging into the Holidays” with our Winter Social Dance, enjoyed a festive Holiday Morning Social where we had a sing along, enjoyed hot chocolate, and gathered with good company. Our Great Getaway Trip took a holiday Sights and Lights Tour around San Francisco and enjoyed a lovely meal on Pier 39. This month we will have our new Wednesday Yoga class and a two-week Fitness Special class (see page 4 for details). Join us on the 18th for our guest speaker to Identify and Avoid Scams as well as SALA on Elder Abuse. For more details about our current lineup of guest speakers, please see page 8. We will also be learning how to play a new table game “Code Names” on the 19th with more new games to come! Our 55 Plus team is continuing to grow along with all our programs. Lisanne Kennedy continues to lead our team as the Recreation Coordinator for the 55 Plus program. Stephanie Lynn, who stepped in as Assistant Recreation Coordinator while Lisanne has been on leave, will be returning to her role as an Activity Leader running programs in the mornings and Clubhouse Site Supervisor in the afternoons. We are excited to announce that Kevin Matter, who has been working as an Office Technician for our Agency, will now be stepping into the role of Assistant Recreation Coordinator. Please be sure to give a friendly welcome when you see him! Here’s to making more cherished memories in 2024! The 55 Plus Team
