So November and December has passed, and I've had a great time taking photos of you guys volunteering at the many cute holiday-themed events! I really liked the Christmas Tree Lighting event in particular. Thanks for coming out and having fun with us! Hope it wasn't too cold haha. After this newsletter, I'll only be releasing one more, so please look forward to that! And look forward to the upcoming spring events because they're really cute as well. Just a little reminder... I try to stay inclusive and try to take photos of everyone, but if you feel that I'm not taking enough photos of you, or don't want your photo taken, just let me know! Stay fresh! letter from the president. Hey guys! Hope you all have a great November and December! We had many great volunteering opportunities these past two months which I am very thankful you all participated in! We did a lot of outdoor events out in the cold but I love how that doesn't stop you from volunteering! ^^ Also the time is near! DCON is coming up shortly so I'm super excited for that! It's a great way to get connected to everyone in our district! Key clubbed with the same passion as you from Oregon, Alaska, some parts of Canada and Idaho! I can tell you DCON is a wonderful experience that all key clubbers should attend! You get to feel what it's really like to be in the PNW. Congratulations to the incoming board and to all those we ran! You all did a wonderful job saying your speeches and answering questions from us officers. I know it can be very intimidating so I'm proud you were all able to do it! That's it for my message to y'all, remember to stay toasty! In Love and in Service, Aleah Lucena President of Lindbergh High School Key Club 2015-2016

Helped Renton Park’s PTA set up their fifth grade dinner and auction to raise money for the fifth grader’s trip to Camp Seymour! The theme was Western!

Went to Renton Park after school to help set up their Scholastic Book Fair in the library. There were many cute books!

Helped Fairwood Lions Club unload and set up stands for their Christmas tree sale! All proceeds go back to the community!

events review

BY YANNI ZHANG Hey Guys! Can you believe it’s already halfway through the school

year? The last two months have been packed with not only volunteer events but Divisional events as well, let’s recap! We kick started off the month of November with a DCM at Kentridge high school, where a thanksgiving potluck was held and fun icebreakers were played. Later on in the week, at our very own high school was the “Be Hypnotized to Eliminate”, with a special and amusing performance from our ASB president: Eirra Suarez. A Hypnotist came and put a bunch of key clubbers under his spell~ Next we had multiple set up volunteer events for the Fairwood Lions as well as Renton Park Elementary. We participated in putting together the cafeteria for the little kids and setting up trees during the Christmas season for families to buy and take home! In the midst of the Christmas spirit, a December DCM was held where we had a secret santa as well as a heart-warming ice breaker called “Touch someone who…” It really allowed the Key Clubbers to show their appreciation for one another. Along with this we created our own Div 32 bracelets with collecting beads from others in exchange of a heartfelt compliment. And last but not least, we finally had our Division 32 Election Rally!!!! We’ve elected a new LTG of the 20162017 term, Ashley Villanueva, a current sophomore from Kentlake High School! With all these exciting events passing on, there are still many upcoming events that you should look forward too! Such as Dance to Eliminate, Hug Me Sign’s Fundraiser by Kentwood and Kent Meridian, as well as our Joint DCM with Division 28. You should all attend because it’s gonna be lit :), See you guys next time!

Michael Cain, a professional hypnotist, worked with our Division to host a hypnotist show at Lindbergh High School! The proceeds went to The ELIMINATE Project.

Provided entertainment in front of local grocery stores to collect donations for the Salvation Army! It’s so fun with friends!

After helping Fairwood Lions Club set up their Christmas trees stands, we helped unload the many, many Christmas trees and set them up. Went home smelling like pine!

A handful of us went over to the local Nursing and Rehab Center to decorate the Christmas trees in their lobby!

Helped set up and manage a Christmas tree lighting event at the Piazza in downtown Renton!

A good amount of us went to Renton Park right next door and helped set up and manage their PTA-run Holiday Party! There were many activities for kids and adults alike!

fund raising Hello Key Clubbers!

It’s been a great 2015 and I’m excited to start the 2016 year with an announcement that we have 110 members who have paid their dues (that is 3 times as much as last year!). With the New Year roaring in, it’s time for a very important time of Lindbergh High school Key Club: DCON registration. DCON is an extravaganza that will be the best part of your high school life! For 3 days, we will be electing District executive officers, playing games, attending useful workshops (like how to get a date), and meeting new Key Clubbers who are as passionate about service as much as you are! Yes, DCON will cost money, but for those who have been active members and have been volunteering at our community events can qualify for scholarships that can cover a portion of the cost. We will give each member who applies a certain amount (ranging from $10-$100). Start saving up now! Also, this is my last year at Lindbergh and I will miss all 110 of you when I step down from my position as Treasurer. Luckily, Amica Huynh will carry on my duties for the 2016-2017 year! Remember to continue serving others, work hard in school, pay your Key Club dues, and make the most out of the opportunities that Key Club gives you!

In Love and Service, Huy Manh
