WHAT DID ANNA GET? EVERYTHING SHE WANTED AND MORE.
THE DESIGN The design complimented the whole interior, with similar colours used throughout in proportionate ratio creating a unified space. Different spaces were created by making multiple flooring heights from sandstone to hardwood decking that was divided by sunken light strips. Focal points were located in all three corners of the garden. A graceful sculpture by Julian Wild raised elegantly on a bespoke plinth in the centre corner to create equilibrium throughout. A semi-mature Silver Birch and Olive tree sat firmly in 2 corners. The Olive tree in a bespoke purple powder coated steel planter illuminated from top to bottom and the Silver birch in a bronze dutch bowl sculpture transformed into a planter. The planting activates all the senses, with soft hostas settles by the wall with Jasmine climber running up behind releasing beautiful scents. Along the frosted glass wall diverse herbs were planted to replicating the diverse spices traded along the river To make the rooftop experience truly breathtaking a reclining ladder grants entry to the top of the building, above Annas kitchen where the area is lined with lavender in turquoise planters creating a powerful aroma. Astroturf makes the spaces comfortable with waterproof bean bags to allow endless rests overlooking London and the Thames.
