Motivational Topic

In order to make your career at IBIS fulfilling, challenging and valuable, the employee is required to adhere to these key criteria: 1. Have a constant and continuous commitment to grow and learn 2. Stay ahead of using the latest technology 3. Keep a flexible attitude and enjoy Flexible compensation 4. Be geographically mobile and willing to travel or relocate. 5. Work well both individually/ independently and in a team 6. Have great communication skills

Why to be motivated?

IBIS recognized that there is a constant positive interaction between the individual’s changing needs and the growing organization.

Words to live by ‘‘Find people whose personalities and achievements stimulate, fascinate and inspire you; then strive to duplicate their patterns of superiority.’’ ‘‘You have not lived a perfect day even though you have earned your money, unless you have done something for someone who will never be able to repay you.’’ ‘‘Love what you do and, most importantly, why you do it.’’

Motivated people have a positive outlook, they're excited about what they're doing, and they know that they're investing their time in something that's truly worthwhile. In short, motivated people enjoy their jobs and perform well. All effective leaders want their organizations to be filled with people in this state of mind. You can't directly control a person's interest in his or her job. Of course, an individual does have some responsibility for motivating himself, but you can encourage that process by creating an environment that helps him or her to become more motivated. Motivated people are highly adaptable, when it comes to change, and they have a positive attitude at work. They help to spread an organization's good reputation, reduce rates of absenteeism, and improve performance and profit. They also work hard to achieve their goals, and work with a greater sense of urgency than unmotivated people. Your people may have all the expertise in the world but, if they're not motivated, it's unlikely that they'll achieve their true potential.

they make a mistake or need help. This goes back to the importance of having humility. Teams that lack trust are incapable of debating key issues openly, and the consequence will be inferior results.

How can a manager cultivate those qualities in team members? Ask the members of your group to rank themselves on the three virtues on a scale of 1 to 3. They’ll acknowledge their shortcomings once they know those traits are expected of them. Then you can talk about how to help them. For instance, if I’m a minimalist and do only what is required, I can check with my co-workers before I leave work to see if I can help them with anything. Everyone can improve in these areas with the right coaching.

Motivation Test

They’re humble, hungry and smart. If you’re humble, have a relatively small ego and are interested in others more than yourself, it will be much easier for you to become part of a team. When you’re hungry, you will never have to be asked to do more. Instead, you will constantly be asking, “What else can I do to contribute?” And if you’re smart, you’ll have both common sense and emotional intelligence. That combination is powerful. People with those attributes, regardless of their skill levels, will perform well. But problems can arise if any one of them is missing.
