CASAS Tips for New Students

Page 1

Welcome to We’re excited you chose to pursue your studies here.

As you get adjusted to life on campus, be sure to check out these helpful tips from current students. ►► Get a good umbrella. Sierra, Senior

►► Professors are not as scary as we like to think they are. Email your professors or visit them during office hours if you are not understanding something. They are so willing to help you. Morgan, Junior

►► Try to get involved with on-campus activities. It’s easy to not be involved when you transfer because you spend less time at Liberty, so push yourself to join clubs and be involved. Geoffrey, Senior

►► Use your money wisely. Anh, Junior

►► Get all the help you can. Don’t try to do everything on your own. Tarna, Freshman

►► Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Seek out good friends. Find friends that will encourage you and that you can invest in.

►► Your mistakes don’t define you. Have grace for yourself. Trust Jesus. He’s got everything under control. Maddie Kate, Freshman

►► Enjoy every moment of your first semester, because life only gets busier. Take advantage of every opportunity you get. Madison, Senior

►► Get help! There are so many options available to help you succeed in college. Also, take one day at a time and don’t stress about all the things you have to do during the week. Focus on what you can do today. Elizabeth, Junior

►► Intentionally start the semester off strong! Fill in a planner, delegate your time, and balance your academics with your social life. It is much easier to set good habits from the beginning rather than try to change them partway through the semester. Nicole, Senior

Christopher, Sophomore
