DEMOSS HALL Originally constructed in 1985, DeMoss Hall underwent an extensive expansion completed in 2000. Housing computer labs, classrooms, lecture halls, and a rooftop terrace, the 4-story, 500,000-square-foot DeMoss Hall now serves as one of the principal academic facilities on campus.

WILLIAMS STADIUM The largest stadium in the Big South Conference, Williams Stadium is capable of seating 19,200 spectators and includes a 110-foot viewing tower with five levels and 18 luxury suites. The stadium houses the Football Operations Center, which includes coaches’ offices, equipment and weight rooms, locker rooms, and a training facility.

VINES CENTER With a 62-seat luxury President’s Suite and a total seating capacity of more than 10,300, the Vines Center is used to host sporting events, concerts, church services, conferences, and Convocation. The recent addition of a practice facility for Liberty men’s and women’s basketball incorporates a landscaped roof that serves as a walkway connecting the Residential and Academic Commons.

LIBERTY BASEBALL STADIUM Opened in February 2013, the Liberty Baseball Stadium houses the program’s offices, a fully equipped media area, and a club room. Featuring an AstroTurf playing surface and 2,500 chairback seats for spectators, the park has been ranked among the top 100 best stadium experiences nationwide and was recently ranked fourth best college ballpark experience in the country.

HANCOCK WELCOME CENTER Positioned near the entrance to main campus, the Hancock Welcome Center greets Liberty’s new students, alumni, and visitors. An excellent example of Jeffersonian architecture, the welcome center houses the university boardroom and a formal president’s office. The facility is staffed with representatives from various university offices.

RESIDENTIAL COMMONS Comprised of two nearly identical 9-story residence halls, the Residential Commons houses 2,200 students. Each room features a private bath, and every floor provides laundry facilities and a common lounge. The first residence hall was completed in Fall 2014 and includes a Dunkin’ Donuts and BaskinRobbins. The second residence hall was completed in Spring 2016, and additional residential facilities are planned for the Commons area. 23

SCHOOL of LAW Liberty University School of Law combines education in law theory and history with practical legal training. Through the innovative Center for Lawyering Skills, externship opportunities, and extensive training in mock trial courtrooms, the School of Law strives to produce practitioners of law able to positively contribute to their respective legal bars and communities.

CINEMATIC ARTS, ZAKI GORDON CENTER The Cinematic Arts, Zaki Gordon Center is a film school that reaches beyond the traditional model of film education by relying heavily on experiential learning. COLLEGE of OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE The College of Osteopathic Medicine trains skilled and discerning physicians who are committed to advancing medical knowledge while providing patient-centered care with a servant’s heart. Along with select programs of the School of Health Sciences, the college is housed in the 4-story, 140,000-square-foot Center for Medical and Health Sciences. With classrooms and lecture halls equipped for interactive learning, a research center, standardized patient and simulation facilities, clinical medicine and anatomy labs, an extensive library, and incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the center is second to none in the medical profession. 33

SCHOOL of NURSING Liberty University School of Nursing — the largest nursing school in Virginia — provides more than 800 residential students with a comprehensive clinical experience as well as a foundation in nursing skills, behavioral and social sciences, and the liberal arts. Utilizing innovative technology and encouraging compassionate medical care, the School of Nursing equips graduates from the bachelor’s to the doctoral level to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of each patient.

SCIENCE HALL Located across the lawn from the Jerry Falwell Library, the new Science Hall more than triples the size of the university’s former science facilities. Completed during the Spring 2015 semester, the 4-story, 121,000-square-foot building contains classrooms and an expansive auditorium, as well as more than 20 “wet” labs, a cadaver lab, a cell-culture facility, and several research labs. Housing the Department of Biology & Chemistry and the Department of Health Professions, the facility is outfitted with more than $2 million in new equipment, including a GC mass spectrometer, gene sequencer, and a nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer. 35

STUDENT RECREATION Students benefit from a campus of more than 7,000 acres with numerous recreational opportunities. Campus facilities include the Liberty Mountain Skate Park, the Liberty Equestrian Center, a paintball complex, beach volleyball courts, and the Liberty Mountain Trail System with 50 miles of trails. Students also enjoy access to the 12 championship HersheyEsbenshade Tennis Courts as well as five indoor courts. 37

LAHAYE STUDENT UNION The 230,000-square-foot LaHaye Student Union boasts seven hardwood basketball courts, four volleyball courts, a 25-yard lane pool, two indoor AstroTurf soccer fields, cardio and weight training rooms, multipurpose recreational space, and a 4,000-square-foot climbing area with a 40-foot climbing tower. Additionally, students enjoy access to an NCAA regulation-size track at the Tolsma Indoor Track Complex. 39

LIBERTY MOUNTAIN SNOWFLEX CENTRE The Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre is a year-round snowless skiing, snowboarding, and tubing slope. The first of its kind in North America, the Snowflex Centre is home to the Liberty University Ski & Snowboard team.

LAHAYE ICE CENTER The LaHaye Ice Center is home to the Liberty University synchronized and figure skating teams, as well as the men’s and women’s hockey teams. Additionally, the ice center is open to the public for skating, birthday parties, and skating lessons for all ages. The ice center recently underwent renovations and now accommodates 4,000 fans, has 10 box suites, and increased space for concessions.

DEMOSS HALL STUDENT CENTER One of Liberty’s principal academic facilities, DeMoss Hall is undergoing a 3-story, 175,000-square-foot expansion to incorporate a new student center. Expected to be completed by the summer of 2016, the expansion will include space for academic and office purposes, an art gallery, six new dining venues, a gaming area, a large event space with seating for up to 700 guests, an eight-lane bowling alley, and a comfortable lounge area opening onto the Academic Commons. 47

FREEDOM TOWER At 275 feet, Freedom Tower will be the tallest structure in the city of Lynchburg. Serving as Liberty’s architectural trademark, the tower will be home to the Rawlings School of Divinity, the world’s largest accredited school for religious and ministerial training. The tower will include an observation floor with expansive views, an event space, and an assembly of specially commissioned bells forged at the Royal Dutch Bell Foundry in Aarle-Rixtel, Netherlands. CENTER for MUSIC and THE WORSHIP ARTS The new 140,000-square-foot School of Music facility is comprised of two linked, 4-story buildings. Equipped with 124 Steinway pianos, the facility houses 43 teaching studios as well as piano, songwriting, and music computer labs. Additionally, the facility includes two recital halls and a fine arts concert hall capable of seating 1,600 guests. The academic portion of the facility opened in Fall 2015. The concert hall will be completed in 49

The Academic and Performance Center will integrate educational facilities with rehabilitation and strength and conditioning facilities to provide Liberty student-athletes with optimal resources for academic and athletic success. The building is scheduled to open in Spring 2017. One-third of the space will be reserved for academic offices, tutoring centers, and study halls. The rest of the facility will include an Olympic weight room and sports medicine area with exam rooms, an X-ray room, treatment and taping tables, and trainer offices, as well as an athlete fueling station offering performance drinks, smoothies, and nutritious foods.
