FEATURED WEDDING
CALI & DANIEL MOORE
Even though Cali and Daniel grew up about a mile down the road from one another, they never officially met until Cali was home visiting family from college one weekend and Daniel had recently moved back to Indianapolis. When Daniel planned a surprise proposal for Cali on July 15, 2016, it was nothing short of thoughtful. “My parents were building their new house and it was almost finished,” Cali explains. “We were on our way to meet our friends for dinner (or so I thought!), and Daniel suggested we stop by and see the progress of the house since we had some time to kill.” When the two arrived, they headed to the back patio to watch the sunset. Roses, framed photos of the couple over the years and Daniel down on one knee greeted Cali. The excitement continued as family and friends arrived, including Cali’s best friend from college. “Everyone we would have wanted to share that moment with was there, and it was so special!” says Cali.

A GLAMOROUS WEDDING AT THE LUCAS ESTATE
THE PLANNING Other than agreeing the wedding would be in Carmel, Indiana where they are both from, Cali and Daniel really only knew one thing—their wedding would be a large one. A natural first step was to find a wedding planner, and Cali’s mom, a huge support throughout the whole process, helped the couple to secure Gina from ImaGINAtion, LLC. “The biggest inspiration for me was my mom and Gina,” Cali says. “We had so much fun throwing around ideas and trying to create the perfect vision. Our meetings were always exciting!”

THE DRESS Cali and her mom scheduled an initial dress shopping appointment with Marie Gabriel Couture in Indianapolis to get a feel for the style and shape Cali wanted. Little did she know that the third dress she would try on that day, a custom Lazaro gown, would be the one she would swoon over.
THE VENUE While Cali and Daniel chose the Lucas Estate as their venue for many different reasons, it was the beautiful property and kind, fun and efficient staff that ultimately won them over. “We knew from the moment we visited the Estate that it was where we wanted our special day to be, and we are so happy we did! 10

THE FLORALS There’s no doubt the florals were a true showstopper in this beautiful blue, coral, peach and pink wedding— especially the eye-catching floral wall. “We took special care in the decision of which flowers to choose to get the soft pastels along with adding in the richness and depth of color while maintaining a light, summery, romantic feel,” Gina explains. The florals featured Alaskan peonies of Coral Sunset, Nick Shaylor, and Henry Sass—flown in from a farm in Alaska—and dreamy garden roses such as Romantic Antike, Kiera, Juliet and White O’Hara. Some of the other luscious florals that added depth and romance included Miss Bombastic, Nemo and White Majolika spray roses, many specialty dahlias, standard roses, orchids, French lavender and Variegated Ruskus.

ADVICE FROM THE bride
Cali says, “My advice to other brides would be to just enjoy the ride. Planning a wedding is a process, and you will most likely never get to go through it again. I tried to just appreciate each step and have fun with my mom and girlfriends while doing it!”
SARA ACKERMANN PHOTOGRAPHY
SPECIAL TOUCHES “While planning this wedding, the word unique came up a lot,” says Cali. “I wanted our day to be different and special.” One of those unique touches was that the bride carried six garden roses in her bouquet in memory of the family members that could not be with them on their wedding day. “We listed their names in the program, and it was a really special way to honor our loved ones!” says Cali. The bride also incorporated fabric from her mom’s wedding dress to make personalized handkerchiefs for her mom, dad, brother and sister as well as a wrap for the stems of her bouquet. Yet another favorite touch was the rose gold wedding logo the couple created. “We used it on our save-the-dates, invitations, and then incorporated it at the reception. It was a really beautiful, personal detail that we loved”

T
he gorgeous, outdoor setting of the historic Ambassador House in Fishers, Indiana was the perfect, natural location for this Southwestern, bohemian style shoot. Inspired by a single table runner, Hannah Strickler, owner of Design the Day, got to work. “As soon as I saw the BBJ Desert Horizon collection, I knew I had to create!” she says. “As soon as I knew I needed to create, Emma from EmmaLeigh Photography was at the top of my vendor list because I knew she’d be the perfect fit for the shoot as her style aligned impeccably.” EMMALEIGH PHOTOGRAPHY
STYLE SHOOT
From a color palette inspired by the runner to vintage plates and clay pots, all the details came together seamlessly. The gorgeous peacock chairs, handmade dream catchers, agate slice escort cards, farm table and crossback chairs were perfect complements to the impressive décor while a beautiful cake incorporated hand-painted details in various prints, colors and feathers. The simple stationery suite with clean, bold lines was the perfect addition. 18

The bride stunned in a Lenora by Wtoo Watters dress, provided by Sophia’s Bridal. “The high neck, cap sleeves, open, keyhole back and circle lace was the perfect twist of modern and bohemian,” says Hannah. Natural makeup and a beautiful updo, accented by a gold feather, completed the look. A simple bouquet featuring eucalyptus and ferns added understated beauty.

FARM-TO-TABLE
D.I.Y. CUISINE
LATE NIGHT EATS
NAKED CAKES
This trend is all the rage as more and more people desire organic and locally grown food. Check with your area vendors to see who is buying and cooking with simple, fresh ingredients. Various venues who are also tuned in to current trends may additionally offer their own farm-to-table menus. Not only can this option be inexpensive, it is also a great option for infusing seasonal, fresh foods.
We’ve seen so many talented couples, friends and other family members out there, it’s no wonder brides are turning to their skilled team of people—and even their own culinary skills—to go beyond just crafting cakes and desserts. While this can be a hefty undertaking, depending on the menu and wedding size, this feat is certainly being accomplished. From Italian eats to tacos, the options are limitless. The bonuses? A very personal twist and an authentic “home-cooked” taste and feel!
Brides and grooms always want their guests to enjoy themselves, while having everything they need to celebrate the night away with the happy couple. Late night food such as pizza, sliders, or french fries, specialty hors d'oeuvres and food trucks are just another simple but unique way to ensure your guests continue to dance the night away, don’t leave hungry and are “wowed” by your thoughtful additions to the evening.
Offering a chic, exposed look and blank-slate appeal, naked cakes seem to fit into a variety of styles when it comes to weddings. Visual interest aside, they are absolutely delicious, too! With naked cakes, you can choose from a variety of fillings without having to commit to frosting, and while some have no icing at all, others feature icing that is barely there. With the many available options and a sophisticated look to match, one thing’s for sure: These unique confections don’t seem to be going anywhere!

E.
BITE-SIZED BENEFITS Just because food is tiny, doesn’t mean it can’t impress and pack a powerful punch. Small plate items, passed food plates and hors d'oeuvres as the main dish aren’t an entirely new concept but they are certainly holding their own in a world of traditional and large plate wedding entrees. With this trend, couples have many benefits. For example, they might have the option of infusing several food themes into one wedding, satisfying many different tastes, and guests have the chance to compose their own meals and sample a variety of cuisine. Trust that guests won’t go hungry, either! Just think of how full you can get at a food tasting or sampling event.
F.
DESSERT TABLES Who ever said one dessert was enough was mistaken. Well, it seems brides out there certainly agree! Cakes are being ever-increasingly accompanied by other desserts to make for one glorious display, or the cake is being eliminated all together for some yummy cake alternatives. Think pies, tarts, cupcakes, macarons, donut trays (or walls!), specialty cookies and even candy. Besides the sweet sugar rush you will be providing for your guests, these displays are both pretty to look at and provide a way for you to include nods to your own personal favorites.

CASUAL CUISINE
SIGNATURE DRINKS
FOOD STATIONS
UNIQUE DISPLAYS
While some brides crave topnotch wedding elegance and the food to match, others desire cozy “backyard” nuptials where fancier food items might feel out-of-place. Because of that, it makes perfect bridal sense to infuse the same look and feel of your wedding into your food selections. For a casual affair, tantalizing craft burgers or delicious barbeque is sure to evoke the ambience you want, and more and more brides are doing just that with family-style cuisine and casual, laid-back fare.
From brewing their own craft beer to designing signature cocktails, brides and grooms are getting ultra creative in the beverage department. When creating a custom drink for your guests to enjoy, you not only bring a fun element to your day, you are also infusing some of your own tastes and personality. We mean, when else in your life do you get to create a signature drink for all your family and friends to enjoy? Oh, and don’t forget to come up with a unique name, too!
Maybe you know exactly what food you want to serve for your big day but, for those that are not-so-lucky, food stations might be the perfect, tasty solution. For example, you love pasta but your hubby-to-be loves steak. You can marry the two with action stations and include as much variety for your guests as you would like! By manning various stations with a chef or someone to prep the food on-site, you add an “action” element that makes the food experience that much more fun and interactive!
What’s amazing food without the proper display to match? From gorgeous vintage dressers and old farm tables to colored glassware and custom platters, brides and planners alike are imagining some pretty creative ways of ensuring that wedding food and beverage is just as camera-ready as the happy couple. Whether it’s the perfect backdrop behind your dessert table, pretty chandelier at your bar or the most stunning vintage plates, display means everything.

LIA & CHRISTOPHER SIMERI Lia and Christopher met in March 2010, when Lia started training at a new restaurant that was opening near her home where Christopher worked. “Our first conversation was in the tiny, little room in the kitchen where we had to roll silverware at the end of the night to get ready for the next day’s shift,” Lia says. “I’m pretty sure I stayed back there to help him roll all of the silverware, even though it was his responsibility.”

a vision of romance AT TRADERS POINT CREAMERY
THE PROPOSAL On their way to dinner one evening, Christopher drove Lia to a small park that she instantly recognized as the place where her dad proposed to her mom 35 years before. Christopher handed Lia a card—a special gesture she has always loved—and he began to drop to one knee while she read it. Afterwards, the happy, newly engaged couple (and their elated family members who were hiding behind trees) gathered at Christopher’s restaurant, Simeri’s Italian Restaurant, to celebrate. “When we walked inside, all of my friends and family were there for what they thought was a surprise going away party,” Lia recalls.

A VISION OF ROMANCE // Featured Wedding
THE PLANNING Because the couple was only one short week away from moving to Pittsburgh, they knew they needed to select a venue and lock in a date quickly. “I knew that I wanted to get married outside, and I thought I might like the barn setting. So, I researched barns in the area, and my mom and I went to visit Traders Point first,” says Lia. “Once I saw it, I didn’t need to look anywhere else.” What ensued was a fine-tuning of Pinterest boards and zeroing in on Lia’s ultimate vision. The venue even recommended Lia’s planner, Rebecca Moreland Green of the Moreland Group and, in turn, Rebecca was able to recommend other vendors she worked with. Lia says, “My parents and my wedding planner, Rebecca, handled all of the actual planning after discussing my visions. They were so wonderful, and I can happily say that my wedding day was perfect due to them.”
THE DRESS Lia felt fortunate to have the opportunity to wear her mother’s wedding dress. “I worked with Jen Rocket, a local seamstress in Pittsburgh to design and alter the dress,” Lia says. “My mom said she never imagined that either of her daughters would wear her wedding dress. I took a picture of me on my wedding day, holding a picture of her on her wedding day. Pretty cool!”

THE FLORALS
When Lia first visited Traders Point Creamery, she was immediately romanced by the fact it was an actual dairy farm complete with mooing cows and real farm smells. “The blank canvas is what intrigued me,” says Lia. “I am a designer, and I wanted to design my wedding. There were very little requirements by the venue to use their supplies, so I knew that I could design a wedding that was perfectly unique to me.”
In describing her dreamy florals, Lia says of Autumn Keller from Isibeal Studio, “She is an amazing artist. I was lucky enough to get ready in a space where I could watch her transform the ceremony setting. She spent hours creating the magnificent arbor for the ceremony, as she placed each flower carefully and would step back to view her work. Everything she creates is done with such fine attention to detail. She was worth every penny.”

ADVICE FROM THE bride
SPECIAL TOUCHES While there were quite a few personal and unique touches throughout Lia and Christopher’s wedding, including Lia’s wedding dress and veil, trinkets from each grandparent around her bouquet and her grandmother’s diamond in her ring, one of the most special parts was the couple’s minister, Mark who, along with his wife, was a youth minister and impressionable role model for Lia growing up. “Lucky for me, Mark and Carrie flew in from Tulsa, Oklahoma, making our ceremony so perfectly personal, and I believe everyone could feel the extra special touch that only Mark could have brought to my wedding.” And the perfect final touch to their ceremony? The unity cross Lia and Christopher built together by hand.

“Write down a list of ‘must-haves’ when you begin planning. Focus on getting these things exactly the way you envision. When you find yourself upset about something being wrong that is not on that list, know that you are wasting time and energy that could be spent on making those truly important things perfect.”

THE GROOMSMAN SUIT Anna Zajac Photography
Menswear for the
MODERN GROOM While the wedding industry sees its fair share of change like any other, some things never change. For example, the lengths a bride will go to ensure her wedding day look is perfect is just as important today as it was eons ago. Whether it’s traveling across the country to find the perfect dress or working with a seamstress to customize her gown, today’s modern bride still spends a fair amount of focus, time and emotional energy ensuring her look is nothing short of stunning (down to every last button, sequin, stitch and heel!).
42
WEDDINGDAY
But men certainly shouldn’t be left in the dust. Their big day is a chance for them to stand out, too and they also deserve to look and feel their very best. While grooms of yesteryears may have been forced to go the route so many have gone before—squeezing into used rental tuxedos that do little to highlight their own personal fit and style, we’re excited to see that today’s modern groom has more options. And for many, that means working with a great menswear provider and investing in a fine garment that can be worn for years to come.
We decided to check in with some industry experts whose companies are devoted to providing the great quality, service, style, education and affordable options to men that bridal boutiques have been giving to brides for decades. Among them are John Porter, owner of Andrew Davis Clothiers, Ge Wang, owner of ESQ Clothing and Katy Eriks, Stylist and Customer Care Guru at The Groomsman Suit. See why these menswear providers recognize what the modern groom is looking for and, in doing so, have helped many discover their best look for a day they will remember forever.
WHY SHOULD A GROOM GET A SUIT FOR HIS WEDDING? ADC
ESQ
TGS
"He will have a fine garment in his closet for years to come that he can wear at others' weddings, business events, and other special occasions. Each time he wears his suit, he will be subtly reminded of the most important day of his life." “Though it’s ‘her’ day, you should also look the part. On your most important day, a custom suit will not only help boost your confidence, it’ll change the way your bride looks at you. Not only will you obtain something that fits perfect, but you and your bride will also get to design each element of the suit or tuxedo— from fabric to lining and everything else. In short, she’s certainly going to look her best. You should look yours, too!” “Most men wear suiting more frequently than tuxedos. Owning a nicely fitted suit is never a bad investment, but what about a tuxedo? You’ve probably had to wear one on several occasions, and every time you do you convince yourself it’s probably the last time you’ll really need a tux, so you choose to rent. But, as you get older, the need to go black tie is going to happen at least once or twice a year and if you owned one, you could find a fun excuse to wear it a few more times. Not only can owning a tuxedo be more affordable, it is also way more convenient. It will always make sense to own a tux, shirt and shoes for a comparable price to a rental. At The Groomsman Suit, we believe every man should own a tuxedo, look sharp, and not spend a fortune.”
WHAT IS YOUR COMPANY’S PROCESS FOR HELPING A GROOM CHOSE A GREAT SUIT? ADC
TGS
“We dress gentlemen in garments that are true, honest expressions of themselves. The perfect fit is most important. Fabric and customizations come next. No matter how modest or grand his budget may be, we provide our clients with the best suiting and formalwear selections available.” “At The Groomsman Suit, we are here to make the bride and groom’s style dreams come true. We work with couples from the beginning of their planning process when they are still deciding on their color palette until the end as they are putting on the finishing touches with suspenders and/ or cufflinks. With groomsmen and bridesmen scattered across the country, it’s critical couples select a menswear provider that can ship nationally. We understand people can be nervous about purchasing suiting online which is why we offer our couples a free trial suit so they can check out our suits in the comfort of their own home before asking their guys to buy. Once they decide to suit up with us, we facilitate the ordering process and outreach to their groomsmen or bridesmen to ensure that everyone orders the right suit, the right size and on time for the wedding.”
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A GROOM HAVING PERSONAL WEDDING STYLE? ADC
ESQ
“Executive style consultant Andrew Weitz says personal style is your visual business card. What better day than your wedding to make impressions that will last a lifetime?” “So many things are involved in leading up to a wedding day, your confidence in your outfit should be the least of your concerns. You’ll have something that you truly feel comfortable in. In other words, a custom suit done right should lend itself to you wearing the suit, and not the suit wearing you."
WHAT STYLE TIPS WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE MODERN GROOM? TGS
ESQ
“Your photos will last a lifetime and you want to love your look for years to come. You don’t have to pay a fortune to look great on your wedding day. We’re proud to offer stylish suiting and tuxedos for $179! Looking sharp in a suit is all about the fit. For this reason, we carry one of the largest size ranges of any brand across two fit types and four lengths, allowing men to get as close to a custom fit as possible.” “In terms of my personal advice, it’s always 'less is more.' With ESQ Clothing, each of our garments are handmade using English and Italian fabrics. Thus, each garment will simply shine just because of the excellent fabric...not to mention all the handmade details. But the most important thing I tell my clients—be it from grooms walking down the aisle or a celebrity down a red carpet—is try to avoid wearing something that you’re going to regret 10 years down the road. Yes, that means don’t do the powder blue suit…save that for a future occasion.”

THE EASIEST GUIDE TO changing your last name
AFTER THE WEDDING
Y
our newlywed bliss can quickly come to an end when it comes time to endure the dreaded task of changing your last name. The legal process can often take the romance out of taking your significant other’s last name. If you get yourself organized with the proper documents, the process can be less strenuous, allowing you to continue to revel in your newlywed happiness.
1. GET THE ORIGINAL
3. APPLY FOR A NEW LICENSE
5. UPDATE YOUR BANK
Getting a new license from the local Bureau of Motor Vehicles office requires a few documents, namely your old license, the original marriage license and your new Social Security card. Remember to change your address if you have moved after the wedding.
The easiest way to do this is to visit your local branch in person. Take your new license, your marriage license and your new Social Security card, and ask for your name to be changed on your account. Request new checks, debit cards and credit cards with your new name.
2. REQUEST A NEW SOCIAL
4. CHANGE YOUR LAST NAME
6. UPDATE YOUR LAST NAME
If you visit the Social Security Administration’s website, you can find an application for a change of name here. This is a free service. Print the application, fill it out, and include any required documents. You can either take your application to a nearby Social Security office or mail it in. You should receive your new card with your new last name in approximately 10 days.
When your new Social Security card comes in the mail, meet with your HR manager at work to switch your name over. This includes payroll, 401k, your insurance benefits, stocks etc.
MARRIAGE LICENSE FROM THE CLERK’S OFFICE The original license should come from the clerk’s office where your license was filed. One should automatically be sent to you a couple weeks after the wedding. The original document should have a raised seal and your new last name. Also, it’s a good idea to request copies.

any things can serve as inspiration for a wedding, and for Mary and Matthew Mergy, their wedding was brimming with extra special components and a formal, contemporary feel that would leave Mary feeling nothing short of a modern-day, real-life princess. Set against a backdrop of what the bride describes as power colors (red, black and white), Mary desired for her July wedding to reflect elegance and class. “This was the overall look and feel I wanted my wedding to have in all elements,” she says. 50
WEDDINGDAY
Lucky for Mary, the 24 weddings she had been in previously gave her plenty to think about and be inspired by. She also turned to Pinterest, bridal expos and WeddingDay to further source inspiration. After a hunt for the perfect ceremony and reception locations, the couple decided on St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and D’Amore in downtown, Indianapolis for their royalty-inspired, dream summer wedding.
THE VENUE “Even though I am from Connecticut and Matt is from Cincinnati, we decided to have the wedding in Indianapolis, where we live now,” explains Mary. “We had friends and family coming from all over to attend, so to keep things convenient and simple for our guests, we wanted to have all of the major wedding activities (ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, etc.) downtown.” Not only did D’Amore offer the convenience the couple wanted, they felt it could provide the most memorable experience with its amazing, 360 degree, panoramic views of the city.
THE DRESS Mary knew she wanted two things when she went to find the perfect gown: for her mom to be by her side and a wedding dress that was as closely matched to Kate Middleton’s as possible. After traveling into New York City for their appointment at the famous Kleinfeld Bridal, Mary fell in love with her experience and the Dennis Basso dress she ultimately said “yes” to. “Finding all over lace in a ball gown with long sleeves is very difficult as strapless is in style,” Mary says. “Dennis’ dress was from his new collection, elegant and classy and just what I was looking for.”

THE DÉCOR Halfway through the planning process, Mary and Matthew hired a wedding planner to ensure their design components would come together well and to help address any issues the day of. Sarah Farthing, the coordinator at Thomas Caterers, was also key in making the Kate Middleton-themed wedding come to life. “She researched Kate’s favorite cocktail, which was served as a signature drink at our wedding!” says Mary. “She also incorporated English antique teacups into the display of the cocktails to tie in the British theme.” Another extra special touch was a lit up heart on the Indianapolis Power & Light (IPL) building on the side facing Monument Circle during the couple’s reception. “Our guests were so excited to see this looking down from the top of the Salesforce Tower,” says Mary. “It was such a neat effect, and we are so grateful to IPL for doing that for us.” The special touches continued as Matthew had worked with Diamonds Direct to have them replicate the exact earrings Kate Middleton wore on her wedding day. “They are very unique and include a small, dangling acorn, which is a symbol of the Royal Family,” says Mary. “I had cufflinks from Tiffany’s engraved with his initials and our wedding date for him.” Each flower girl also wore a flower crown that was exactly like what Kate Middleton’s flower girls wore. Mary’s mother even went so far as to buy the pattern and sew the three flower girl dresses herself to be the exact replica of those worn during Kate’s wedding. Matthew, too, got to be creative by making a personalized monogram with the couple’s initials and wedding date. This was shown on the flat screen TVs during the reception, printed on cocktail napkins used during cocktail hour and placed at the top of the dinner menu. The monogram was also used on the tag on the box of chocolates that each guest received as a wedding favor. 52
WEDDINGDAY
THE CAKE Mary and Matthew’s wedding cake was a smaller version of the cake that The Duchess and Prince William had at their wedding. “Classic Cakes took the picture of the Royal Wedding cake and made it!” says Mary. “Not only did it taste amazing, but it looked just as spectacular, too!” Since Matthew is a big Cincinnati Reds fan, Mary ordered sugar cookies with the Reds logo from Busken Bakery in Cincinnati. “They were a surprise for Matt at the reception, and Sarah created an elaborate display with a baseball theme for them which was beyond my expectations,” says Mary. “It truly made the surprise special!”

THE ART OF ROMANCE // Cover Shoot
THE INSPIRATION This cover was all about romance and simplicity. But instead of the typical hues that exude romance like reds and pinks, our team of vendors wanted to show how the same look and feel could be achieved with light lavender and tons of greenery and florals. To bring nothing short of a wow factor to the shoot, we partnered with Magical Moments Event Planning to make our exciting dreams come to life. Another magical twist? A live artist on set to capture all the beauty and love!
THE VENUE
DAUSS FOTO
Choosing the venue for our romantic vision was an easy decision. “Gallery Forty-Two was the perfect choice for this shoot because it is so different from other venues in Indiana,” says Lora of Magical Moments Event Planning. “It’s an art gallery that is in a 100-year-old building so it has such a wonderful charm to it. It has a lot of wood elements in the renovated parts, but when you go to the back of the building and to the top floors, you will see the original brick which gives it an industrial feel.”
WEDDINGDAY 57
COVER SHOOT
THE FLORALS The breathtaking floral selections were focused on sophistication, texture and color. Foliages such as Lilly Grass added glamour and flair while the different shades of lavender provided depth and movement. The Moon Gate arch also served as a strong yet simple symbol of everlasting love. Denese of Bloom! Custom Floral Designs says, “We chose this color palette for two reasons. Mixing metals such as silver, gold and copper is super popular right now, and we wanted to include a pop of color so we went with lavender. Lavender is soft and lovely and can really set that romantic tone. The lovely bouquet featured Tibet Roses, Ranunculus, Early Grey Roses, Ocean Song Roses, Lisianthus, snowberries and Parvifolia.

THE LOOK Mirroring the venue’s aesthetic, our model’s hair was elegant, polished and timeless. “The makeup was focused on accentuating the model’s already striking features, highlighting her beautiful brows and full lips,” says Andi Sherman of Something Blue Stylists. “Enhancements such as under eye hyaluronic masks and a lip plumping collagen treatment were used to prep the skin before applying makeup.”

THE DÉCOR Lavender hues were echoed throughout the décor in items such as purple water goblets and gold mirrored cake stands that showcased lavender beverages. The bar backdrop was a standout with the help of Atmospheres Indy’s beautiful greenery wall. The team also set the perfect tablescape using white chiavari chairs, tables, linens, gold utensils and gold rimmed chargers from A Classic Party Rental. “Two of the hot trends that we used in this shoot were using a live artist and also the floral ceremony circle,” says Lora. “Those are two newer trends that can really show couples that they can have something different and unique for their wedding. Hopefully this shoot inspires them.”

THE STATIONERY Kaitlin Robinson of Athena Street Creative, expertly captured exactly what we had envisioned for this shoot. “She took the inspiration board and really ran with it and came up with wonderful stationery for the shoot,” says Lora.
THE CAKE The striking cake, designed by Classic Cakes, met our vision with lovely streaks of gold and eye-catching geometric shapes. A touch of greenery visually tied it to the rest of the florals.
