Christmas Matters
is intended to focus on significant truths taken from each chapter. We strongly encourage everyone to read the entire chapter of Luke upon which each chapter in the book is based as you journey with us toward Christmas. This will provide important context and a clear picture of what we all need to know about the Savior’s time on earth. In each reading you will find: • An overview verse from the chapter in Luke. • A reflective reading to learn more about and draw encouragement from Jesus’s life. • A process including thoughts or questions to help you apply what you’ve read. • A prayer that provides an opportunity to move into conversation with God, talking and listening to Him. These prayers simply open the door for you to begin a meaningful dialogue with Him. • A promise from the Bible reminding you of the freedom and reward found in the hope that Jesus offers. As you read through the book of Luke during the Christmas season, you, too, have the opportunity to encounter Jesus in a personal way. If you choose to believe and pursue a relationship with Him, He will change your overall life perspective and offer you unexplainable joy. It is our desire to guide you into an all-encompassing and life-changing journey that is available when you respond by accepting His truths. These truths will fill your heart as you see Him not just as a historical figure or distant God but trust Him more intimately as a Savior and friend.
