Keeping parents up to date

We want to make childcare affordable

entertained, Bright Kids is the place to send your children, especially with the teams’ main focus being education. “Without compromising the level of care, we are introducing exciting new programmes including ‘Home learning diaries’. We have also joined Le Club Francais so the children will be taught the beginnings of the French language.” “We want Bright Kids to be known as an educational establishment and not just an ordinary childcare provider,” says Bel. “We want children to learn, develop and thrive in our stimulating environment’. – Call us on 01733 361290 for more details or to book an appointment.

Returning to work after having a child can be a difficult decision, but Bright Kids Day Nursery are helping to make sending children to nursery the best option.

B

right Kids Nursery, Lynchwood, “Offers more than just childcare.” says Claire Smalley, Manager, “We always pride ourselves on building strong partnerships with parents as well as engaging them in the life of the nursery.” The parental nursery cam allows parents to log on and see their child, reassuring them that they have settled well in the nursery and are enjoying their time with the staff and other children. Bright Kids Day Nursery has been holding events over the last year, including ‘Mini Olympics’ and a cultural evening. “It was a very exciting year for us and we are planning more events this year, starting with our monthly Coffee Morning planned next week.” With a New Year offer to considerably reduce fees to £150 per week for 50 hours and planned events to keep your little ones

Charity total tops £40,000

A fundraising committee has said a big thank you to the hundreds of people who supported its events last year, helping to raise an impressive £40,000 to help local children.

T

he final total raised by the NSPCC’s Peterborough Business Support Group has surpassed the committee’s expectations, thanks to incredible celebrity support from, among others, Jake Humphrey and Penny Smith. Tickets are now on sale for the committee’s next event – a Charity Dinner with guest speaker Paul Ross and a guest appearance by London 2012 silver medallist and Strictly Come Dancing winner Louis Smith. The event is being held at the Holiday Inn West, in Thorpe Wood, Peterborough. Tickets for the black tie dinner are priced at £55 each or £500 for a table of 10. The evening will include a raffle and auction. VIP packages are available giving guests the opportunity to meet and be photographed with the special guests over champagne and canapés. For more information or to book tickets please contact Carol Bunning on 01733 223031 or email: carol@tme.uk.com

S

acrewell Farm and Country Centre has launched a fun photography competition The Farm is open all year round to promote farming and wildlife and to kick-start its “Winter Fun” campaign, it is encouraging people to get out in the fresh air and take a great winter snap of the Farm! Marketing and Communications Officer Megan Horner said: “We are getting to the time of year where it gets harder and less appealing to get out in the fresh air! But there is still lots to do at Sacrewell Farm in the winter and we hope the photography competition will help to promote that. There are three age categories: Under 11, Under 16 and adult. The winner of each category will receive a family ticket to the Farm. The overall winner will receive a family membership to Sacrewell Farm for one year worth £125! To enter submit a photo no smaller than 1mb of Sacrewell Farm in the winter to megan.horner@sacrewell.org.uk stating your name, age, address and when the photo was taken. Entries must be of the Farm and must not have been manipulated.Deadline for entries is midday on February 8, 2013. The winners will be announced during Wildlife Week from February 9 – 17.
