WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THE STYLING FOR THIS PARTY?

I wanted to do a safari theme but with a modern twist.

The vision I had was clear. I wanted a minimal colour palette of vibrant greens, blacks and golds. One of the first pieces that I created were the invitations which featured a black silhouette design that I carried through for the rest of the stationery, including the chocolate wrappers, lolly boxes and welcome sign. The other colours were illustrated in the use of the green, white, black and gold balloons, green foliage, gold coloured props such as cake stands, partyware and animals.

The location itself had large windows all around which let in an abundance of light and the surrounding nature.

I would say organisation is the key in planning any event. Plan ahead, don’t leave anything to the last minute.

I would say organisation is the key in planning any event. Plan ahead, don’t leave anything to the last minute. If you need help from family and friends, ask for it.

It’s very important to have a Plan B, just in case something doesn’t turn out the way you wanted, or a back up list of vendors if one cancels.

When working with other vendors, show them images of your inspiration, so there is no miscommunication. If you only discuss your ideas verbally, they may have a different interpretation to your own.
