Jennifer Brandolino is a registered nurse with a desire to provide preventative health and alternative healing therapies to her clients. She offers solutions that are safe, effective and complementary to conventional treatments and medications. She invests in growing her knowledge through ongoing education that focuses on homeopathy, flower essence therapy and infrared light therapy to promote self-healing. She also customizes the therapies based on the client’s needs and any concerns they may have.

COS Student Health Center

College of the Sequoias’ Student Health Center provides resources for students in need, ranging from mental health services to housing and homelessness difficulties. They opened the COS Food Pantry in 2014 after a survey revealed that over half of their student population was experiencing food insecurity. The pantry provides non-perishable and fresh produce groceries as well as food gift cards when available.

Watson’s Health Foods

Watson’s has been a part of Downtown Visalia’s food scene for 60 years. They have grown into a local hub for all things health-related, including a tranquil garden setting where you can sit and eat their delicious, freshly-made food. As a health food grocery including vitamins and dietary/ nutritional products, they aim to inspire healthy lifestyles. They are constantly growing their product lines as more options become available, and they offer food to go for those in a hurry.

Rocky Hill Yoga

Recently opened in Exeter, Rocky Hill Yoga aims to help others feel good physically and mentally through classes focused on whole-body alignment. After eight years in the Navy, owner Dina Restivo found an improved sense of self with a new kind of discipline through yoga. With over 15 years of experience and her passion to keep learning, Dina provides an environment that is encouraging and adaptable to individual needs.

Trips for Kids Tulare County

Trips for Kids Tulare County is a nonprofit whose mission is to “give every kid in every community the opportunity to know the joy of riding a bike and the freedom to explore the natural world on two wheels.” They promote healthy, recreational lifestyles, environmental awareness and personal empowerment for young people, particularly those in need. Volunteers help with the fun, scenic and safe riding adventures they host through nearby parks, foothills and other natural areas.

Mâche

The word mâche (pronounced mawsh) means an edible salad green. Local Chef Kellie Black created Mâche out of a passion to offer healthy, organic, prepared meals and farm to fork catering for busy, health-minded customers. At the start, she maintained a booth at the Visalia Farmers’ Market to provide food to customers directly. Today, she operates her recently open to the public café inside Lifestyle Fitness Center, where she offers a made-to-order menu and sells baked goods and meals to go, including meal prep options.
