opp’s Buildall traces its
Croots back 145 years to 1877 when the business began as a stone quarry selling building blocks. Today, the family business offers a full complement of building materials for contractors and homeowners. It is one of the largest suppliers in Southwestern Ontario.
“What started as a lime and brick quarry has evolved into a full-service home building and improvement store that, in addition to carrying building materials, also includes specialty divisions to assist customers on their shopping and design paths,” says marketing manager Cheryl Neale. “Since we’ve been a heavy contractor-based supplier, many retail customers don’t realize we have all these specialties available.”
Copp’s Buildall operates four London locations, with three of them having specialized design centres. The downtown store on York Street is the Design Centre, where kitchens and bathrooms are showcased. Paint products and flooring solutions are on display. The latter includes carpet, vinyl, tile and hardwood. Copp’s design experts believe kitchens to be the heart of the home and will help plan a renovation for this area, keeping functionality and style top of mind.
Copp’s East London Outdoor Design Centre, on Dundas Street, just west of Veterans Memorial Parkway, is the go-to location for outside living. All decking, railing and hardware options to customize backyard spaces are featured, with experts on hand who use design software to provide 3D renderings of the transformations. Once decisions are made, installers bring it to life.
The company’s Trim and Door Design Centre is located on Fanshawe Park Road West in North London’s Hyde Park neighbourhood. It features a house built into the showroom that displays options and possibilities for trim and door design. The display includes windows and doors that increase energy efficiency and curb appeal. Exterior siding is also featured at this location.
With these specialty services and expertise, Neale says the company is “definitely a full-service building supply provider for projects customers are doing indoors or ones they’re doing outside.”
Copp’s Buildall has a long history of providing products and service in southwestern Ontario.
