WHAT IS 100% GENUINE CORK FABRIC? Cork is harvested from the cork oak tree which is found mainly in coastal areas of Portugal and Spain. The fabric is made by boiling the bark and then placing thin slices onto a cotton polyester backing. The top of the cork fabric is sealed with two layers of waterproofing sealant so that nothing can penetrate through. This fabric is upholstery grade material and meant to be as durable as leather and last for many years. The additional features of cork are: Lightweight Waterproof
Scratch Resistant Mildew Resistant
Hypoallergenic Stain Resistant
The fabric is cleaned using a damp sponge and water and requires no oils or additional treatments.

Height: 273 feet, Diameter of Dome: 680 feet, Area of Roof: 9.7 acres, Interior Space: 125,000,000 cubic feet, Total floor footage: 269,000 sq. ft., Electrical Wiring: 400 miles. Louisiana has more than seven million acres in wetlands and estuarine water, more than any other state in the nation. The Pontalba Buildings are the matching red-brick block long 4‑story buildings in Jackson Square built in the 1840s. The ground floors house shops and restaurants; the upper floors are apartments that are the oldest continuously rented such apartments in the United States. Louisiana is the nation’s number one salt-producing state, with 24 percent of domestic production. The Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans is the oldest yacht club in the state and the second oldest in the nation. Its charter dates from 1849. The Bourbon Pub and Oz, both located at the intersection of Bourbon and St. Ann, are the two largest gay clubs in New Orleans. Canal Street forms the upriver boundary of the French Quarter. It was the dividing line between the older French/Spanish city and the newer American Sector. The median of the street became known as the neutral ground acknowledging the cultural divide. To this day, all medians of streets in New Orleans are referred to as such.

Chef Ron Duprat in New Orleans Ron Duprat, star of several episodes of Bravo’s Top Chef, has his plate is full with several projects. Between television appearances, consulting and developing his own signature products, Duprat is working on another possible reality television show. When he made a guest appearance on Spike’s Bar Rescue with Brad Bohannan and Steve Smith, owners of Spirits on Bourbon, he made fast friends with these New Orleanians. In fact, the trio joined forces again for the Taste of New Orleans Fundraiser for the Malcolm Jenkins Foundation where Spirits on Bourbon was a sponsor and Chef Ron Duprat was a celebrity Chef. In addition to preparing gumbo for the event, Chef Duprat was ‘auctioned off’ for a private lunch at Spirits on Bourbon the next day. Chef Duprat considers New Orleans his second home though he resides primarily in Florida. Chef Duprat explains that there is a familiar connection in food culture between the two areas but admits he is fascinated by the differences in Creole cuisine across both regions, particularly in New Orleans. “We were thrilled to host Chef Duprat while he was again in New Orleans, and look forward to his next visit,” said Bohannan.
