GENERA L ELECTIO N

A PUBLIC NHS – WE WILL: • Fight for a publicly funded NHS free at the point of use and end the creeping privatisation of its services. • Make mental health a much higher priority with resources to match this status.

A FAIR ECONOMY – WE WILL:

laura says ... A mother of two young children, I have lived in Bolton for over 10 years, and in my spare time work as a volunteer leader with Guides and Rainbows. As an NHS Occupational Therapist, I work to improve the independence and wellbeing of some very vulnerable people. I have seen the negative impact of ‘politics as usual’. This inspires me to fight healthcare privatisation and oppose cuts to public services. I joined the Green Party to stand up for real change. I want to back small businesses over multinationals, and take action on exploitation of tax loopholes. I would tackle poverty and inequality by advocating a living wage, and support energy efficiency schemes to cut fuel bills. Locally I have taken part in campaigns against fracking – which threatens our water supplies as well as posing health and climate risks and against TTIP – an EU/US deal that could threaten our employment rights, and environmental standards.
