# A PUBLIC NHS – WE WILL: • Fight for a publicly funded NHS free at the point of use and end the creeping privatisation of its services. • Make mental health a much higher priority with resources to match this status.
A FAIR ECONOMY – WE WILL:
paul says ... I am a local resident living in the area for the last 17 years and, until recently, not active politically but felt compelled to present an alternative for my neighbours. I am actively involved in many aspects of life in Cannock Chase from health and education to the local football club and community groups. Green politics is the politics of the future, with policies working for the common good to deliver a society which works for everyone. To vote for the Green Party on 7 May is to say YES to better trains, run totally for the benefit of the public, to say YES to a stable, publicly run NHS, and to say YES to a minimum wage of £10 an hour by 2020. I will work tirelessly for the priorities of Cannock Chase to deliver an end to the failed austerity experiment and build a sustainable future with an economy that works for everyone

• End austerity and restore the public sector to create over one million good jobs. This will be paid for with a wealth tax on the top 1%, a Robin Hood tax on the banks and the closure of tax loopholes. • A minimum wage of £10 an hour by 2020.
DECENT HOMES – WE WILL: • Abolish the unfair Bedroom Tax. • Build 500,000 new social rented homes and bring empty homes back into use. • Introduce rent caps and longer tenancies for renters.
A SAFE CLIMATE – WE WILL: • Take serious action to ensure global temperatures do not rise further. • Phase out fossil fuel based energy generation and nuclear power. • Invest in renewable energy, flood defences and building insulation.
