A FAIR ECONOMY – WE WILL:
dan says ... I am 19 and an Economics student. My home is in Spalding and I went to the Grammar School. My generation is worried about the future. We care about climate change; sustainable energy; decent jobs; affordable homes; starting our careers already in debt from higher education. We don’t want a future like the present, with limited and expensive public transport restricting access to jobs and key services, and an NHS in crisis. Nor one where people don’t have secure employment or a living wage; and where, despite our country’s wealth, food banks are in high demand. Greens believe that a sustainable economy and a fairer, more equal society benefits everyone, including the rich who must pay their fair share. Our support is growing rapidly – we can influence change. Please – think of our future on 7th May.

• End austerity policies, and introduce a minimum wage of £10 an hour by 2020 • Invest in the public sector, including education and the NHS, to re-build services and create sustainable jobs • Clamp down on tax evasion and tax avoidance • Introduce a wealth tax and tax the banks • Make education free for all
DECENT HOMES – WE WILL: • Abolish the Bedroom Tax. • Introduce rent caps and longer tenancies • Build new social rented homes and bring empty homes back into use
better transport – we will: • Return our railways to public ownership to stop profits before passengers • Invest in public transport for quality services at affordable prices
