# A PUBLIC NHS – WE WILL: • Fight for a publicly funded NHS free at the point of use and end the creeping privatisation of its services.

• Make mental health a much higher priority with resources to match this status.

# A FAIR ECONOMY – WE WILL:

I’ve lived and worked in Shrewsbury since 2000, my two children were educated at state schools here and I’ve been part of the successful ‘Cycle Shrewsbury’ team.

The Green Party has four times more members than last year – we are the alternative to business-as-usual politics.

• End austerity and restore the public sector to create over one million good jobs. This will be paid for with a wealth tax on the top 1%, a Robin Hood tax on the banks and the closure of tax loopholes.

• A minimum wage of £10 an hour by 2020.

Green policies would create a fairer society with an economy run for the benefit of the many not the few. We wouldn’t push young people into debt or vulnerable people out of their homes.

We’d keep the NHS public. A & E services must be kept open at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

# DECENT HOMES – WE WILL: • Abolish the unfair Bedroom Tax. • Build 500,000 new social rented homes and bring empty homes back into use.

• Introduce rent caps and longer tenancies for renters.

# A SAFE CLIMATE – WE WILL:

Our economy must take care of the planet, for our children and grandchildren. We’d invest in renewable energy jobs and stop fracking. We’d make buses and trains more affordable and bring in 20mph limits.

• Take serious action to ensure global temperatures do not rise further.

Only the Green Party has the courage to put people before profit and take action for the common good.

• Invest in renewable energy, flood defences and building insulation.
