GENERA L ELECTIO N
politics for real people • scrap bedroom tax • rail in public hands• free education save our nhs • £10 an hour minimum wage by 2020 • free care for older people
A PUBLIC NHS – WE WILL: • Fight for a publicly funded NHS free at the point of use and end the privatisation of its services. • Make mental health a priority, with resources to match this status.
A FAIR ECONOMY – WE WILL:
JESS says ... I have lived in Greater Manchester for over 13 years. I love this city and it is where I call home. I am a parent and I am standing because our system is broken. Our so-called leaders are collecting personal fortunes and then subjecting us all to cuts in our services. We get the program of austerity because the government gave the banks £500 billion of tax payers money. I say “NO” to this!
• End austerity, create over one million good jobs. This will be paid for with a wealth tax on the top 1%, a Robin Hood tax on the banks and the closure of tax loopholes. • A minimum wage of £10 an hour by 2020.
DECENT HOMES – WE WILL: • Abolish the unfair Bedroom Tax. • Build 500,000 new social rented homes and bring empty homes back into use.
The UK has the fifth richest economy in the world, I will fight for a service that puts people before profit; that makes tax fairer and that pays a living wage. Greater equality, it’s a win-win.
• Introduce rent caps and ensure landlords can only let good quality homes.
Support for the Green Party is growing every day. If you agree with us, let Westminster know by voting Green.
• Reach average class sizes of twenty.
