Marksman One of the best marksmen in the FBI was passing through a small town. Everywhere he saw evidence of the most amazing shooting. On trees, on walls, and on fences there were numerous bull’s-eyes with the bullet hole in dead center. The FBI man asked one of the townsmen if he could meet the person responsible for this wonderful marksmanship. The man turned out to be the village idiot. “This is the best marksmanship I have ever seen,” said the FBI man. “How in the world do you do it?” “Nothing to it,” was the reply. “I shoot first and draw the circles afterward.”

local buzz thanks voters for passing the school levy

The Brief supports schools, students and educators and as many of you know recently voters approved a two-year 2.8 million dollar supplemental levy. The measure passed by 371 votes. The supplemental levy is for 1.4 million per year and will go toward the support of extracurricular activities, curriculum and technology needs. “A strong school (system) is never more important than now,” said BCSD Supt. Don Bartling. “Teaching our children is one of the most important things in life. Our community, in very difficult times, stepped forward on election day to set the tone for the level of education they expect for the future.”

Thank you BADGERS, Teachers and Staff for a Great School Year!
