Puailoa is BACK! By Steve Russo
W
hen it came to planning for the future of Sandpoint High School’s football program, the committee commissioned with finding a new leader looked to the past and re-hired Coach Satini Puailoa.
Puailoa coached at Sandpoint High School from 1994 to 2004 and was at the helm when Sandpoint won its only State Championship in 1997. In fact, according to the archives, roughly 90% of all the schools records have taken place during the ten years that Puailoa served as Sandpoint’s head football coach. This will mark Puailoa’s fourth time rebuilding a football program. But this time will be different as Coach Puailoa has assembled a coaching staff with whom he can hit the ground running. “When I took over the program in 1994, I not only had to coach the players, I had to coach the coaches,” said Puailoa. “I now have a team of coaches who know exactly what needs to be done.” Collectively, the group of coaches boasts more than 100 years in football coaching experience. Assistant Coach Chris Lassen, who is known for instilling much of the discipline, calls his fellow coaches a band of brothers. “We want to do it together. If not, it’s no fun for us,” said Lassen. “We’ve been doing it a long time.” According to Puailoa there is much work that needs to be done to get Sandpoint back on top.“The biggest challenge is getting the kids to believe that they can be great,” said Coach Puailoa. “They don’t know how good they can be!” So how does one get these young men to believe they can be winners, not just in football but life as well? Puailoa, who boasts 18 years of head coaching experience, says it is simple. “You eat it, sleep it, walk it, talk it, live it and breathe it,” he said. “They need to play for the guy next to them.” And while he officially resigned his Sandpoint High School coaching position in 2004, Puailoa never stopped coaching. In 2005, Puailoa joined a coaching staff that included Dick Butkus, a former NFL player for the Chicago Bears and considered to be one of the best linebackers of all time. They were commissioned with the task of taking on a perennial loser and turning them into winners, all of which was documented as part of an ESPN series reality show. As recently as last year, Coach Puailoa and his staff which included Chris Lassen, Crosby Tajan and Steve Miller took on an 8th grade coaching job. It was a way they all could give back to a group of kids that had struggled in the past. Martin Rodriguez, head coach of the 8th grade team and now an assistant varsity coach, gives credit to Coach Puailoa and his staff for helping the youth grow both on and off the field. PAGE 6 2012 SANDPOINT HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL
“Not only did the kids play better, but they became better people thanks to coach and his staff,” said Rodriguez. Coach Puailoa’s energy, passion, and relentless pursuit of perfection is contagious and the team has a new motto to reflect that: EMAD, which stands for Every Man A Dog. The credo speaks to Puailoa’s philosophy that every single player is part of the program, and if you join his ranks, you will be part of a brotherhood and make a difference. When asked about the biggest challenges Puailoa and his staff face, he refuses to be anything but positive. “This is a great town, this is a football town and now I feel like from top to bottom we have the support we need to turn this program around,” said Coach Puailoa. Negativity does not even cross Coach Puailoa’s mind. He instead refers to such scenarios as opportunities.
The biggest challenge is getting the kids to believe that they can be great.
“We start now, and we start by building the kids up, getting them to believe and unifying them as a brotherhood,” said Puailoa.
It is clear to anyone who has met Coach Puailoa that he loves football and loves to coach. But why Sandpoint? After all he has had opportunities to go coach just about anywhere, “I stay here because of him,” said Coach as he points over to one of his assistant coaches Chris Lassen. “I stay here because I love it here. I love the community, the kids and the coaches with whom I have formed a brotherhood.” Puailoa describes his relationship with Lassen and how they interact with one another as similar to that of an old married couple. The duo has been coaching together since 1999 and for the past 13 years have created a bond that Lassen says can’t be broken. When asked what one message he would like everyone to hear, Puailoa stopped and thought for a second and said, “That we’re here to make sure each player has fun and when players are having fun, the winning will take care of itself.” And as Puailoa is finishing his thought, Lassen, with a kid-like smile adds, “We’re back, the program is back and it’s going to be a great experience for everyone.”

Meet the 2012 Bulldog Coaching Staff By Patty Hutchens
SATINI PUAILOA – HEAD COACH Head Coach Satini Puailoa is no stranger to fans of Sandpoint High School football. Before arriving in Sandpoint in the mid-1990s, Coach Puailoa served as the Head Coach for both Montebello High School in California from 1981-1985 and Santa Barbara High School from 1986-1994. He began his coaching career in Sandpoint in 1994 where he coached until stepping down in 2004. He led the Sandpoint Bulldogs to a state championship during the 1997 season and they finished in the runner-up position in 2003. During the ten years that Coach led the Sandpoint Bulldogs, he posted a 63-37 record.
In 2005 Coach Puailoa appeared on the television show “ESPN Bound for Glory.” Coach Puailoa currently serves as the department chair for the physical education department at Sandpoint High School and is a physical education instructor. Coach Puailoa says the driving force behind his desire to coach is simply to help young men develop into better men. He is looking forward to witnessing firsthand this group of young men grow and develop. He said he especially enjoys seeing them participate in the journey of chasing perfection and achieving excellence. Words of wisdom to his team: “Become a servant to your teammates, school, and community. The more you help others, the more you will benefit.” CHRIS LASSEN – ASSISTANT HEAD COACH, DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR AND LINEBACKER COACH Coach Lassen served as the head coach for Sandpoint Bulldog varsity football from 1978-1982. Prior to that he served as the head coach for the junior varsity football team from 1975-1977. He returned to Sandpoint football last year when he served as the Junior Tackle assistant coach for this year’s freshman class. Coach Lassen’s adult life has been centered around high school youth. Prior to retiring in 2006, Lassen taught school for 38 years—30 of which were at Sandpoint High School. His work at SHS reached far beyond the classroom as he served as coach for not only football, but also track. He served as an administrator as well. His experience away from Sandpoint High School includes four years in the position of athletic director and as a wrestling coach. Lassen currently spends his time as an executive advisor at Pneu-mex Technologies in Sandpoint as well as farming on his ranch which was homesteaded by his great grandfather. He also owns a small logging operation.
Coach Lassen said he is looking forward to returning as a coach to the Sandpoint Bulldog football program primarily because he will be coaching again with Head Coach Satini Puailoa, with whom he shares the same philosophy in coaching the young athletes in this community. “It is an opportunity for me to give back to the community,” said Coach Lassen. “And I want to pay it forward the same way I was helped in life changing ways by football and my coaches. Coach Lassen said he is looking forward to being able to take each individual player and help mold them into a cooperative team and providing the young men with a foundation that will help them into their adult lives. His goal is also to instill discipline and trust so the young men can be successful on and off the field and that they will come away with an attitude of doing their best at whatever they attempt. Asked what else he is most looking forward to this season, Coach Lassen’s answer most likely reflects the sentiment of his fellow coaches and players….“Beating Lakeland and Moscow!” Words of wisdom to his team: “Being part of a brotherhood completes the development of becoming a man; and football will be a conduit for this to happen.”
Offensive Staff RAY MILLER – QUARTERBACK AND RECEIVERS COACH Ray Miller began coaching freshman football in the early 1970s. In the late 70’s he and Coach Lassen teamed up to coach the Sandpoint Bulldog Junior Varsity team. Miller later became the offensive coordinator under then head varsity coach Lassen. In addition to football, Ray Miller also served as the Sandpoint Bulldog’s head wrestling coach for 15 years. In the mid-1980s Miller took a break from coaching in order to spend more time with his two daughters. In 1990 Ray Miller returned to coach 8th grade football and later moved up to coach varsity with Coach Puailoa. Ray Miller retired from both teaching and coaching in 2003 and served as Mayor of Sandpoint from 2002 to 2008. A bulldog through and through, Coach Ray Miller spent 30 years teaching Economics and A.P. Government at Sandpoint High School. “After November some of these seniors will never snap up a chin strap again,” said Miller. “The memories they create here will stay with them their whole life and I want those memories to be great.” Words of wisdom to his team: “Pros are people who do jobs well—even when they don’t feel like it.“
PAGE 8 2012 SANDPOINT HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL
CROSBY TAJAN – OFFENSIVE LINE COACH Crosby Tajan is well known around Sandpoint athletics. A 1993 graduate of Sandpoint High School, Coach Tajan went on to play football for the University of Idaho from 1993-1997 where he played offensive tackle. Upon graduating from the University of Idaho, Coach Tajan returned to Sandpoint High School where he has been a physical education instructor for the last 14 years. During that time, Coach Tajan has coached a variety of sports. He served as Sandpoint High School varsity offensive line coach from 1998-2005, was the offensive line coach for the 8th grade Sandpoint Junior Tackle in 2011 and has also coached middle school and freshman basketball as well as Sandpoint High School varsity track. Coach Tajan said his desire to be involved with the Sandpoint High School football program stems from many areas, but is in large part due to the fact that Coach Puailoa’s program and philosophy is one with which he strongly agrees.“I am a dedicated believer in his program” said Tajan. “It is always an honor to be part of his staff. Coach Tajan is anxious to work with these youth and says they are kids who are hungry for success and are willing to put forth the work it takes to achieve it. “It’s exciting to teach and coach players who are so willing to learn and absorb practical information and techniques that will actually allow them success,” said Coach Tajan. “It is going to be awesome watching these players use the new tools they have acquired under the lights on Friday nights.” Words of wisdom to his team: “Finish! Always give it your very best and commit to giving your best work to the very end no matter the score, the situation or the event. Always finish strong and leave your mark as one consisting of great effort, attention to detail and execution.”
MIKE MCNULTY – OFFENSIVE LINE / FRESHMAN COACH Coach McNulty will divide his time this season between helping out with the Varsity team and working with the freshman team. He has lived in Sandpoint for 33 years and has been involved with Sandpoint football in various capacities for several of those years. From 1985 through 2002 Coach McNulty worked with the Junior Tackle team, freshman and junior varsity teams. He also was a Sandpoint wrestling coach until 1990. Having coached under Coach Puailoa for ten years, Coach McNulty said he is confident the players will have fun and be successful. He said the football camp that the players attended in June already showed evidence of vast improvement. He is eager to give back to his community and said participating in the football program will be a perfect avenue for him to do just that.“It’s a great opportunity to see the kids grow physically, socially and psychologically,” said Coach McNulty. Words of wisdom to his team: “It is important to understand and learn how to play a role in something bigger than yourself. How you handle both victory and defeat and how you react in hard times and successful times is important with anything you face in life.”
STEVE RUSSO – RUNNING BACKS COACH Steve Russo - Head coach for the Sandpoint High School freshman team last year. He also coached the Sandpoint’s 8th grade team a few years ago—an experience he counts as one of the most rewarding experiences in his 16 years of coaching. “Watching kids achieve more than the ever thought they could by beating a team that had gone undefeated the previous six years was a thrill,” said Russo. Russo started coaching in 1990 in Poway, CA. He coached at his alma mater Poway High School, a division one Palomar League School and at the Bishop’s School in La Jolla, CA. One team he coached at Bishops won 29 straight games, another highlight in his nearly two decades of coaching experience. Russo said he has worked with kids his whole adult life and enjoys being around them and doing his best to be a positive role model in their lives. “It’s pretty simple in my mind,” said Russo. “Teach them a few things that they can carry with them their whole life and that will ultimately make them better human beings.” Words of wisdom to his team: “There are three things that Coach Russo believes are important in life: hard work pays off; do it right or don’t do it at all; and nothing in life is free or comes easy, so you better get ready to dig deep and fight for whatever you desire in this life.”
2012 SANDPOINT HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PAGE 9
Defensive Staff STEVE MILLER – WIDE RECEIVER AND STRONG SAFETY COACH Coach Miller comes to the 2012 Sandpoint High School football coaching staff with extensive experience. He coached Sandpoint High School football for ten years from 1996-2003 and again from 2006-2007. In addition to football, Coach Miller has also coached track and wrestling for 18 years. Miller is an elementary school physical education teacher and said when he was presented with the opportunity to work with Coach Puailoa again, he could not pass it up. Steve Miller said the coaching staff has been working on some new things this year and he is anxious to implement them and measure the success. But like many of the other coaches, he especially looks forward to working closely with his players and seeing them grow throughout the year. “I’m excited to see the improvement of the kids as the season progresses,” said Miller. “In this program kids always get better as the season goes on.” Words of wisdom to his team: “Enjoy the ride and never give up.”
JOHN KNOWLES – DEFENSIVE LINE COACH Coach Coach Knowles is a name that is familiar to those who have followed the Sandpoint High School bulldogs over the years. A 1966 graduate of Sandpoint High School, Coach Knowles was inducted into the Sandpoint Bulldog Athletic Hall of fame in 2006 for football, track and wrestling. He started his coaching career at Wallace High School from 1971 to 1972 where he served as the defensive coordinator and defensive line coach. His coaching experience with Sandpoint High School spanned two decades. He served as the linebacker and defensive line coach from 1986 to 2004 and has coached in every state playoff game including three championship games and the state title in 1997. Coach Knowles retired from teaching in 2005. He taught for 10 years at Sandpoint High School, 8 years at Lake Pend Oreille High School and 1 year at Clark Fork High School. When asked why he wanted to be involved again with coaching, he said he can sum it up in two words: Satini Puailoa.“Coach Puailoa is a proven program builder and places the student athletes at the center of the program,” said Coach Knowles. “He has the unique ability to bring quality adults and young adults together and build a team concept and helps everyone find personal achievements and confidence.” Coach Knowles, who has always loved to teach and coach, enjoys watching the kids grow and earning their trust. But he said above all he enjoys being on a journey such as this with a team. “The dynamics of working with a large group on a common goal is fascinating,” said Coach Knowles. Words of wisdom to his team: “Don’t miss one moment of this opportunity. Be involved in every part of it. High school football only happens once in your life and it goes by fast. This is an opportunity for you to test the limits of your physical and mental toughness in a safe and controlled environment. The adults you are with truly care about you.” SCOTT ALBERTSON – DEFENSIVE BACK FIELD COACH Scott Albertson is an experienced Sandpoint coach. A 1986 graduate of Sandpoint High School, Coach Albertson was a three year starter in the position of free safety for Whitworth College. After graduating from college, Coach Albertson served as an assistant coach on the Sandpoint High School varsity football team under then head coach Bill Barlow. He left the program when Barlow resigned but returned to coaching in 1994 to assist his brother, Tom Albertson, with the freshman program. After coaching at the freshman level for 2 years, Coach Albertson then moved up to help coach the varsity team under Coach Puailoa He coached the secondary until 1997—the year that Sandpoint won the state title and chose to then step down to spend more time with his children. Albertson, who is the owner and agent of Albertson Insurance Services in Sandpoint, said he is looking forward to being an instrumental part of building the football program back to the high level of competition it was known for in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Coach Albertson said that he and his fellow coaches have a history together, and he enjoys being part of such a highly committed coaching staff as that which will take the field this fall. One aspect of coaching he enjoys the most is watching the young men grow and develop a confidence in themselves. Since Albertson left coaching several years ago, he has mentioned to many people in the community that he missed getting to know the young men in the community on a more personal level. “Coaching allows this and that is what I look forward to the most,” said Albertson. Words of wisdom to his team: ”Never give up no matter how difficult the situation seems. Perseverance will prosper.”
PAGE 10 2012 SANDPOINT HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL
PAUL MAEUL – ASSISTANT DEFENSE AND SECONDARY COACH Coach Mauel may be a newcomer to Sandpoint High School football, but he certainly comes with a great deal of experience. An English teacher at Tahoma Junior High School in the Seattle area, Coach Mauel took a leave a leave of absence this fall to come to Sandpoint and assist his friend of over 10 years, Coach Puailoa. “Satini and I have the same philosophy in terms of coaching and keeping kids at the center,” said Mauel who said he is looking forward to working with the kids. Coach Mauel graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1988 and for the past two years has served as a secondary coach for his alma mater’s football team. Prior to that Mauel held the position of a graduate assistant under University of Washington Hall of Fame coach Don James from 1989-1991. There he was part of a staff that saw many of its players go on to play in the NFL. Coach Mauel also coached Senio Kelemete during his tenure at Evergreen High School. Kelemete was drafted last spring in the fifth round by the Arizona Cardinals. Words of wisdom to his team: “Make the big time where you are now. So many people look to the future, but life is where you are at this moment. Enjoy the journey.” SHANE FRANKS – INSIDE DEFENSIVE LINE COACH If anyone should know if Coach Puailoa can motivate and bring passion to his players, it is Shane Frank. “The passion I have, I got from him,’” said Frank, referring to Coach Puailoa. “He had a huge effect on me.” A Sandpoint High School graduate, Shane was a soccer player until his freshman year of high school. He decided to give football a try and in his four years under Coach Puailoa, he went from a 140 lb. soccer player to a 220 lb. first team all-state nose guard. So, when Coach Puailoa asked him to join this year’s coaching staff, Frank did not hesitate. “This is the program I grew up with,” said Frank. After graduating from SHS, Frank served in the United States Army for seven years. He has since moved back to Rathdrum and plans on enrolling at North Idaho College for the winter semester. “My goal is to go to school, become a teacher and coach football,” said Frank, whose stepfather Chris Lassen is also a coach on this year’s staff and has coached with Coach Puailoa for many years. Shane looks forward to helping the team of young men develop into the best players they can be. “I am excited to take the journey with them,” said Frank. Words of wisdom to his team: “Give 100 percent of yourself all the time in every aspect of your life.”
Special Teams and Assistants MARTIN RODRIGUEZ – SPECIAL TEAMS AND DEFENSE COACH Coach Rodriguez has been a longtime Bulldog fan. His son, Anthony, played under Coach Puailoa at Sandpoint High School several years ago and now his son Marcus will have the same opportunity. Martin, owner of Martin’s Alignment Center and Sandpoint Mobile Tire, coached flag football for three years before moving onto Sandpoint Junior Tackle where he served as head coach for the last four years. He currently serves as President of the Board for the Junior Tackle program in Sandpoint. When Coach Puailoa was offered the head coach position at Sandpoint High School for this fall, Martin knew it was a team with which he wanted to be involved. The kids deserve the best, said Coach Rodriguez, and Puailoa’s program helps the kids become bigger, better, faster, and stronger. He looks forward to bringing the fun back onto the football field while at the same time teaching the kids that by reaching deep down and giving it all they have through hard work and commitment, they can do anything they set their mind to. Words of wisdom to his team: “Give it 110 percent both on and off the field.”
JARRETT ROBSON EQUIPMENT MANAGER Jarrett is a 1997 graduate of Sandpoint High School and has served as the equipment manager for the last 15 years. A big part of his job is to ensure that all the players have the equipment they need for games and practices. He is excited to have Coach Puailoa back and looks forward to seeing how the coaches and players interact. Words of wisdom to his team: “Remember that how you prepare yourself here at Sandpoint High School determines how you carry yourself out there in the real world.”
NATHAN MARLEY DEFENSE/TRAINER Nathan is a 1997 graduate of Sandpoint High School and played for Coach Puailoa in 1996. He is a coach volunteer and also helps with the 7th grade Junior Tackle team. Marley will work with the defensive line which he played in high school and help assit the trainer. He is a loyal Bulldog and part of the Bulldog Nation! Words of wisdom to his team: “Always do your best in anything you do! Commit to being excellent in the real world!”

ocal football players, from the senior class down to those in the junior tackle program, pounded the pavement going door to door last spring and raised over $50,000 to benefit the local football program. Collectively they sold 10,000 raffle tickets for $5 each for the chance to win a vintage Ford Mustang. The winning ticket was sold to James Bopp of Seattle.
The proceeds of the raffle were used to purchase new equipment and helped to send over 150 players to football camp this spring. The existing equipment was out of date and in dire need of updating. In addition to updating the existing equipment, additional equipment needed to be purchased since the number of youth enrolled in the football program has nearly doubled since Coach Satini Puailoa took over the program earlier this year. “We can’t run these programs without support from the local community. Dollar by dollar, it’s about the need to get on the field,” said Puailoa, appreciative of all the people and businesses that purchased tickets. “To have people step up like this is huge for the kids. They’re supporting football in this town from the 3rd grade to 12th graders.” On behalf of the more than 400 youth football players who benefited from the raffle, Puailoa wished to thank the following individuals and businesses: Chris Lassen Yogi Vasquez Martins Tire and Joe Duerta Alignment Center & Martin Rodriquez Napa Auto Parts & Andrew Fingel Van Horn Auto Body The office staff @ SHS -Patsy Sletager -Lyn Evans -Barb Olher -Beth Dean

Friends of Memorial Field Working to Rebuild Grandstands

he year was 1946. Harry Truman was president of the United States, the federal minimum wage was a mere 40 cents per hour, first class postage was 3 cents and the average price of a new vehicle was $1,125. It was also the year that the current grandstands at Barlow Stadium at War Memorial Field were built. The grandstands have seen a lot of action in the nearly 70 years since first constructed. Today the stadium is host to Sandpoint Bulldogs football, Sandpoint Bulldogs men’s and women’s soccer, the Festival at Sandpoint, American Legion baseball, Sandpoint High School graduation, and junior tackle football.

It is time to rebuild this treasure and make sure it is available for safe use for the next generations. A community group, called Friends of Memorial Field, have been working on plans to replace the existing grandstand that include many upgrades which will make it more functional. Included in the plan is a covered seating area, increased seating capacity, compliance with the Americans with Disability Act, and construction of a new entry way-all while maintaining the historic feel of the venue. But like anything, such an effort takes money. The Friends of Memorial Field has several sponsorship levels and payment plans so you too can be a contributor to this great cause. PUBLIC OUTREACH & TIMELINE
Champion Level $5,000 annual gift for five years totaling $25,000
January 26th, 2011
Initial outreach efforts were held with representatives from core users of Memorial Field (Festival at Sandpoint, Lake Pend Oreille School District, City of Sandpoint, and various local sports teams). Topics of discussion centered around four specific areas: 1) Capturing the vision, needs, and values of the community and direct users 2) Clearly identifying historic sentiment of current facility 3) Being responsive to the creativity of the community 4) Energizing and building excitement for the new Grandstands!
DESIGN EVOLUTION
At the commencement of this meeting FOMF & CTA had a list of criteria and an understanding to move forward in preparing design options.
Public Outreach 2
March 1st, 2011
Held in the Sandpoint High School auditorium, this meeting was publicized in the Daily Bee and through newsletters sent to every parent of LPSD students. Three design options were presented to the public and the floor was open for all to voice their opinions. Input seemed to focus on the press boxes as unique aspect to keep, increasing seating capacity to at least 1200 and there was a favorable reception to the western entry. The majority of those in attendance seemed to favor option 1 - Historic Reference.

The public was invited to submit any further comments and suggestions to FOMF & CTA Architects.
Public Outreach 3
June 8th, 2011
The same three design options presented at the March 1st meeting were shown during the Sandpoint Rotary weekly luncheon. Comments from members of Rotary seemed to focus positively on the tensile version for its lack of columns and moving the western entry from the center of the grandstands to the northern side.
Public Outreach 4
July 19th, 2011
Public comments were reflected into two new design options and presented once again for input. This meeting was advertised twice in the Daily Bee and the public was strongly encouraged to participate. An enthusiastic public debate was held on which version would be supported by the community. Ultimately, option 1 was chosen for its historic reference and the press boxes were moved to the center back portion of the structure. The western entry relocated to the northern side of the grandstand was seen as a favorable addition by all in attendance. It was also agreed to attempt to increase the seating capacity to 1200 spectators. The final design was truly arrived at through public input and collaboration. We wanted to ensure the community feels this is their grandstands and will pay homage to a structure deeply tied to civic history for more than a half century.

Bulldog Pride By Steve Russo
I’m like a bad rash,” said Jarrett with a big smile on his face. “They can’t get rid of me.
Jarret
is a 1997 Sandpoint High School graduate. He is affectionately called Jear-Bear by the students at Sandpoint High School and has served as Sandpoint’s football equipment manager for the past 14 years. Everything one sees happening with regard to the equipment is a direct result of Jarrett’s hard work.
“I’m like a bad rash,” said Jarrett with a big smile on his face. “They can’t get rid of me.” And why would they want to? Jarrett has single handedly taken on a job that many of us wouldn’t want. Being the equipment manager is very labor intensive, involves long hours and for most it is a thankless job. But that’s not how Jarrett sees it. “I love working for Sandpoint High School. I feel like I am a spoke in the wheel. This is my place. It is somewhere I can make a difference in someone else’s life,” said Jarrett who adds that he thoroughly enjoys the kids and watching them develop over the years. “I take a lot of pride watching them come in young freshman and walking out young men,” said Jarrett. “I enjoy seeing the growth and maturity.” When asked to use one sentence to describe the head coaches for whom he has worked, Jarrett said, “I can’t answer in one sentence because all of them were great, but the one coach that I hoped would come back was Coach Puailoa.”
