Hello from little bit, This issue is all about paper and entertaining with color. Right now, were in love with the pantone color of the year tangerine tango. Orange tones has always been a favorite of mine. It’s playful, bright, refreshing and vibrant. Whether you are planning an event, re-designing a room in your home or buying that must have pair of skinny jeans the right pop of color is a great way of adding seasonal color trends into your life. Are you planning an event this summer? As with any event one of the things that you probably remember the most aside from foods is the aesthetics. An event would not be complete without great decor. Just imagine if you went to an event and the tables were bare with no table linens or flowers. You would probably think you are in the wrong place. Using stylish stationery is not only an opportunity to bring in color but it also a way to thread the individuals personality throughout. Next issue is Little Bit's wedding issue; lots of great color collaborations, fabulous flowers, stylish children’s wedding fashions and real weddings. xoxo, Aisha Holly Founder + Art Director

Amy Butler is a creative designer known for her sophisticated yet relaxed modern approach to printed fabrics and products for home, fashion and craft. With spirited color and confident combinations of print, Amy's fresh point of view is apparent in all of the products she creates. People are getting more and more creative when it comes to event design these days. One of the latest trends is decor elements inspired by fabric. Here we used Amy Butler fabric to create a custom tablescape for a children's brunch. Incorporating custom runners, pillows and napkins was the main design element for the tablescape; the fabric can also inspire the paper elements for your event.

Exceptional stationery, we know, requires more than technical ability. We put our skills in the service of compelling concepts, taking inspiration from a multitude of sources – architecture, fashion, history, nature. After researching our themes, we spend time experimenting with fonts, motifs and colors to ensure a harmony of design elements. invitation suite

Your color palette should be reflected on every detail of the event - including the place setting.
place settings
are meant for dining, but
they can also be a significant part of your event decor. Given that your guests will be spending a considerable amount of time sitting at the dinner table, I believe is crucial that the design of each place setting is impeccable.

Jennifer finds inspiration with a single piece, whether it is art, an area rug or even a fabric pattern. She wanted a room design that would grow with her daughter. The room needed to convey maturity but still be whimsical enough for a baby. When she found the art pieces, she knew she had found her inspiration for the room. Jennifer has a Boston Terrier Gabby and what woman doesn’t love purses! The bedding, canopy, draperies and quilt were all custom made by Jennifer and her mom. She created inexpensive art with scrapbook photos and placed them in a long frame as a backdrop to the bookcases. A lovely yellow & black palette for this sophisticated room design.

Karen (mom) wanted a design that was sophisticated yet whimsical for the little ones. This party was complete with pony hops, build the bear workshop, popcorn machine and custom tatoos; no detail was overlooked The celebration hosted 40 family and friends in a family style dinner setting complete with red garden roses, tulips, peonies, ranunculus in tin vessels reminiscent of the "Tin Man" character. Enchanted Forest and butterflies birthday party photography by // Daniel Chin Photography This was a 1st birthday for a girl at a private residence in Los Angeles designed by Exquisite Events. The theme was the Enchanted Forest and butterflies. We wanted to incorporate the theme as much as we could so butterflies were seen in the form of serving trays to food frames, decor and even the entertainment in the pool. This party was unique as there were 300 guests with about 50 of them being children so we made the children's activity/entertainment area the entire front of the house. There was no shortage of entertainment for the kids ranging from face painting, a magic show, a bubble party, arts and crafts, and even build a bear for each child. The food for the kids was carts of hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, and lemonade so they were in heaven.

Reena's Baby Shower photography by // Alli McWhinney Photography
It’s a jungle out there, and sometimes, to moms-to-be, it probably feels like a jungle inside her baby bump too. So why not make light of that fact by throwing her an animal themed baby shower! Aisha Holly of Dooby Design created a baby shower design inspired by the mom to be love of animals. We used a bright modern color palette, hippo and elephant graphics throughout the design. The shower was hosted in a private residence for their closest friends.

Kayla's 1st Birthday photography by // MNM Photography
We had so much fun planning Kayla's first birthday celebration with her mom Jennie ~ many things we bonded over, including french pastries, babies, and that we also got married the exact same day and year! Since Jennie was originally from New Orleans, it inspired the idea of incorporating a French element to the birthday. With so many angles on how to interpret the concept, we decided to go for a more Parisian approach, and of course all the amazing pastries would be a must!

BabyNixon baby shower
photography by // John & Joseph Photography Inc. Jeannie Savage of Details Details planned this cheerful, elegant baby shower for longtime friend and colleague Michelle, who is awaiting the arrival of her little boy Nixon. The shower carried such a happy and bright atmosphere with a colorful palette of blues, greens, orange, and yellow. With catering and beverages provided by the Hyatt in Huntington Beach, guests enjoyed a delicious assortment of tea sandwiches, poached pear arugula candied pecan goat cheese salad, coffee, tray passed fruit infused ice tea, and lemonade. For dessert, the lineup included a gorgeous chocolate cake with oreo filling from Filigree Cakes, macarons and cake pops by Cakes by Rumy, along with super darling onesie sugar cookies from Truly Scrumptious Cookies. Tables were adorned with beautiful floral design by Nisie’s Enchanted Florist , linens from Wildflower Linen , and chairs from Chivari Chair Rentals. Details Details assistant Nite prettied up the space with handmade DIY details, including a bunting printable from Ruffled Blog and little printable straw flags from EllinÊe.

Winnie thePooh baby shower
photography by // Jennifer Skog Photography
Jennifer of Jennifer Bishop Design created this pretty woodsy themed Winnie the Pooh baby shower for sister in law Teri. Teri grew up loving Winnie the Pooh. She had a Pooh themed nursery and it remained very special to her throughout the years. When she spoke with me about the theme for her shower she told me that she wanted some Winnie the Pooh at her baby shower but did not want a Winnie the Pooh theme. The colors all came from the fabric I used on the buffet table. It was a really pretty paisley print with turquoise, emerald green, yellow, gold and black. I then repeated these colors throughout with my turquoise napkins with beaded borders, yellow and white patterned napkins and gold moss balls.
