ABOUT ME:
Born in New Caledonia, I moved to France in 2017 for my studies and have since lived in several European countries to enrich my culture.
Sensitive to landscape, nature and biodiversity, I saw in this profession the possibility to act on the disturbing environmental challenges of our century, which push me to work with conviction in the field of landscape architecture and learn more and more everyday.
- Sociable, I like exchanging, sharing, and the richness that teamwork can bring to the realization of projects.
- Coming from a school of architecture whose training greatly mixes architecture and landscape, I am aware of architectural reflections and representations.
- The training that I followed at ENSAPL brings me great knowledge in urban planning and design of urban spaces.

Designing an ecological district taking into account the management of water (rain, drinking and sanitary) the topography, the vegetation and the architecture on a site with multiple challenges:
- banks of the Deûle canal to be redeveloped to attract people,
- architectural heritage to be preserved (former Nordic plastics industry),
- existing vegetation to be respected,
- the need to develop a district of 500 collective and individual housing units in a pleasant living environment.
- Work at different scales at once
- Think about water management, paths, roads, parking lots
- Take into account the orientations of buildings and spaces
- Use the existing plant to create atmospheres
Designing a neighborhood combining production, housing, accessibility and conservation of plant heritage (ecological wasteland) and architecture (former industry).
- Start from a large scale (1/1000th) to think about the general layout of the district, green and blue grids, circulation, etc.
- Zoom in on a portion of the neighborhood created and think about the distribution of the different living and production spaces on a smaller scale (1/500th).
- Zoom in again on these different spaces and detail them to give them a quality of life.

STUDENTS COMPETITION
[This presentation is the urban part of the project. The territory analysis and plans in a big scale are presented in the “territory project” chapter.]
“Dancing on the future” was the theme of this competition. The challenge was to bring the coastline of Rimini (in Italia) back to life, by reflecting on several themes (transport, tourism, housing density, ecology, etc.).
- Think big and small scales
- Design practicable public spaces

This final study project is a real order from a group of municipalities in Alsace, to rethink 4 town centers and their functions. It is part of an already existing landscape project on the outskirts of the towns. By rethinking the relation to the slopes of the mountain with the inhabitants and the farmers in an ecological way, the project was able to win a prize for biodiversity. But the school project here focuses on the interior of the villages, completely forgotten in the landscape project.
After 4 intensive months of analyzing the villages, it became clear to me that the project should focus on the issue of mobility. How to make people want to move in villages by means other than car, while making them discover the richness of the valley?
Through each of the towns, the project weaves itineraries that correspond to different uses of walking already present in the valley: the daily walk, the leisure walk of the weekend and the hiking. By highlighting the richness of the villages (architecture, views, landscape atmospheres,...) while removing nuisances, these new routes aim to encourage residents to reduce the use of vehicles.

Turism analysis
Design an agricultural park on the edge of the city.
Confront/Consolidate production and urban uses in a problem of urban sprawl on agricultural plots.
- Think of all scales (from 1/1000 to 1/50)
- Think about the uses linked to the inhabitants of the city (walking, leisure, etc.) and those linked to production (access to machines, privacy, sales, etc.) together.

Structure the agricultural parc with vegetation in several actions:
Sew on plan: understand the entities and the limits of the site
Understand the topography and know how to handle it within the framework of a large territorial project. Take into account the issues related to the uses of the site and the pollution of the soil (former polluted industrial dumps).
- make a model of the existing landform using flour to represent the earth, move the «virtual» earth (everything that is cleared will be backfilled) and design a coherent and logical territorial project.
- From a photo of the flour model printed in A0 format, precisely trace all the level curves on a layer and create a plan.
- Create from the plan thus produced, a wood pulp board model representing all the level curves of the project. This allows to visualize the created project in three dimensions.

The rehabilitation of the Léon Blum high school and its outdoor spaces is part of a competition organized by the city of Perpignan. The architecture agencies Arcane (Grenoble) and Philippe Pous (Perpignan) called on the agency Estudi Martí Franch for the design of the outdoor spaces.
After several discussions with the director of the EMF agency on the general design guidelines, the design of the outdoor spaces and the creation of the graphic documents to be presented to the architects were entrusted to me.
Helped by Alexis Perrocheau at the agency, I was able to work partially independently on this project for 1 month.
- Implementation of the main principles previously decided with the director of the agency
- Creation of graphic documents to present the project (Plan and Photoshop sections)
- Verification of feasibility by creating an Autocad plan
- Choice of plants and presentation of their characteristics in an Excel spreadsheet
- Hosting myself the exchange meetings with architects

During my internship at EMF, I participated in the design of the exterior spaces of a villa and a restaurant/hotel for a private client in the Vall de la Llemena, near Girona. I helped with the analysis of the terrain, the survey of the vegetation or the creation of Autocad plans. I worked entirely on other missions like creating Photoshop plans, principle sections on Autocad, or making hand-drawn views to preview the rendering of the space to show at meetings with the client. Part of my work on the future restaurant of Can Plana is presented here.
- Site visits and analysis
- Project design ideas
- Photoshop and Autocad plans and sections
- Representation of the space by hand-drawn views
- Creation of a references book

The sports city of Girona is also a competition, organized this time by the football academy of Girona. EMF was called upon by the architectural agency Dilmé Fabré Torras i Associats to design the landscaping part of the new sports city of Girona. With the director of EMF agency (Martí Franch) and other members of the EMF team (Andrea Diaz, Alexis Perrocheau and Marcos Olivera), I participated in the development of a first plan of general ideas for this project, which was accepted by the agency director and the architects.
Then, by helping Andrea Diaz, I worked on the realization of the Photoshop plan and then finally realized alone the 4 diagram plans presented on the final boards of the competition.
- Give ideas for the landscape project
- Drawing researches for the design of the space
- Creation of 4 diagrams to explain the ecology part of the project
- Research of references
- Exchanges and meetings with the team

During my studies, I built many models, mainly from wood pulp boards, but also from flour or clay. Project representations or architectural representation workshop allow to develop skills and teach how to better spatialize ideas.
Be precise
Understanding the material you are working with is important. This is why my studies at ENSAPL gave me the opportunity to develop my experience of different materials (creation of concrete and steel benches, workshop on clay). But my precision in my work has also asserted itself and can be found today in my work as a landscaper.
... to not make mistakes in the final construction
... to work with thinness
... to show the reality of nature and vegetation
Intensive week “medium” : use the capacity of one medium (here clay) in every possible way
Understand building materials
... by acting like workers
... and understand all the process of fabrication
... and test a variety of materials
Going to France for my studies was the first step towards new discoveries. A passion for travel was born and since then I try to remember as much as I can of the places I visit, through drawings and careful analysis.
Like drawing, photography is a way to express one’s view of a place, capturing the moment, the moods, the atmospheres, the lights. This allows me to develop my artistic sense, so necessary in the design of spaces.
