The end grain of the unseasoned timber should be coated immediately with Petroleum Jelly after sawing, to prevent end spliting.
Lay 35 x 120 decking boards with 6mm gap in between as 6% shrinkage can occur
1411 mm wide concrete stair that is spacious for 2 people to walk up or down
Unsymmetrical edges of the deck provide more seatings for indivduals than a common rectangular shape. It also has a unique appeals to the surrounding.
This U-shaped configuration creates an enclosed space and provides a personal space. This is suitable for a social exchange between 2-3 people.
The spacious deck accommodates various activities ranging from social exchange to inhabitation/occupatiion. NSW Spotted Gum gives the sophistication and aesthetic to the platform, attracting the pesdestrians
