BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION - FINANCE
SUGGESTED MINORS
Our study of finance pushes students further by focusing on experiential learning assignments such as: creating models to develop analytical approaches to problems; researching securities to trade in simulations; and analyzing decision-based case studies.
Classes occur in a small setting allowing maximum individualized attention. Specific topics include how firms acquire and allocate funds, how financial markets operate, and international financial management techniques.

GRADUATE SUCCESS
The data below outlines the path students in the program take within one year of graduation. (based on knowledge rate from 2022 graduate survey)
Finance degrees are best complemented with professional certifications focused on the specific area of interest.
Limestone’s finance majors have experienced substantial enhancements to their education with the opening of the Vera Jones Mitchell Finance Lab in 2018. Only approximately 6% of ACBSP-accredited business schools have a finance lab and a student managed investment fund. With your concentration in finance, our curriculum prepares students to work in financial institutions such as commercial & investment banks, or in finance departments of major corporations.
LIFE AFTER GRADUATION
Thank you to the Major Maps Committee for their work on this project & dedication to student success:
“As a Finance major at Limestone University, I was able to take what I learned in the classroom and apply it in real life. Walking into an internship, I felt confident and prepared to do a good job, because I knew I had the background knowledge to do so. Putting in the time on school work and developing myself professionally through time in the Career Office has really made all the difference, and I’m so thankful to the Career Services Office for all their help!”
