Project: Revisiting Post-Merdeka Architecture

This project is a topical study that requires students to research on current subject related to Malaysian architecture
identity. It asks students to investigate and observe transformation of particular society’s identity through a study of
architectural development over certain period of time. Students are to organize trips to several sites in order to
explore, comprehend and form opinion which subsequently captured in an essay and illustrated diagrams.
In a group, they will collate and consolidate all info. For individual component, student is to contribute either a
commentary or report or article to be published in a newsletter (supported by MASSA) capturing his or her opinion/
thought on Malaysian architecture identity from the perspectives of humanistic, cultural and political
