Le tte r f rom the editor Welcome to our second issue of Limitless World magazine. We’re extremely grateful for the positive feedback we received regarding our debut issue of last month. Step by step, our magazine will strive to provide content that is inspiring and motivating. It’s hard to believe that this year of 2020 has reached its mid point already, given the current circumstances involving the Covid-19 pandemic. These really have been challenging times for us all but what is impressive, has been our ability as humans, to remain positive and productive during this ordeal. I have the utmost confidence that this too shall pass. Soon we will all be able to sip on cold beverages by the beach while shouting, ‘life is good’! We also would like all African Americans to know that we are behind them 100%. The time for change has come and that police brutality needs to be eradicated and dealt with, NOW! Our magazine looks to keep growing along with our readers. Providing inspiring sports content where interviews, business news and technology shall remain the very core of Limitless World Magazine. We hope you do enjoy our second issue with the exctiting content and topics we have in store for you! Health, happiness and wealth to all Yours trully

After that, I moved to San Jose and pretty much been there ever since. I am a college graduate and completed my studies at the University of California- Davis. I’m 6’8 so my favorite sport is obviously basketball (laughs).

Question 2 How long have you been playing basketball? To be exact, I’ve been playing Basketball for about 22 years. It all kicked off when I was in Elementary school. Question 3

Question 4

At what age did you realise that baskeball could change your life?

As a child, who was your favourite basketball player?

In all honesty with regards to the question of knowing the game could change my life, I wasn’t really thinking of it that way when I started playing. I was just having so much fun hooping with my friends.

To answer your question, it has to be none other than the G.OA.T. MJ 23! The man was a complete basketball assassin.

For me it was just about idolizing and copying everyithing that the great Michael Jordan was doing. I had all his sneakers and Chicago Bulls jerseys that I could get my hands on. So to summarise, for me, it was about being the best. Period. Not never thinking how much the game of basketball could change my life.

His mentality is something I will always admire. That mentality of a champion and to go after what you want at all costs, made Jordan simply the greatest.

“For me it was about being the best, period.”

Question 5 youth

What is your favourite AAU or basketball memory? My favourite memory from my youth basketball days is actually when I was recruited to play baskeball outside of my school, for an organization. I got to travel with the team and made amazing memories. The funniest thing is that the coach who mentored me in that organization team outside of my school, was actually the city mayor! I didn’t follow politics at the time and was way too focused on the game to even notice. We did well as a team and made media headlines on the city paper.

My most favourite memory though, from my AAU days, was when my Grandfather, who was handicapped and wheelchair bound, came to watch my brother and I compete. He had made a promise that he was going to make it, and he did. He was there to watch us both play against each other and though my team won the game, he was proud of both my brother and I. That was a really special moment for the both us.

“My grandfather, who was handicapped and wheelchair bound, came to watch my brother and I compete”

Question 6 Let’s talk about your high school basketball career. How were you as a player during that stage in terms of your development? O h ma n , to b e h on est, h igh sch o ol w a s a little trick y for me, a fter c om in g off a su cces sfu l mid d le sch o ol ru n . It was an eye opening experience because for the first time, I saw people who were taller, bigger and stronger than me so that intimidated me as a freshman. I couldn’t even dunk the ball in the net at that stage which was so embarrassing (laughs). So it took some time for me to settle and adjust to my new surroundings. My confidence, though, never wavered. I always gave my all for my team.

Question 7 Tell us about your college basketball experience. How Was the program as well as the student life at the University of California-Davis? You know, going to college was like starting all over again. But the good thing was that the confidence is there regardless of the fact that, college ball is about waiting for your turn in terms of getting that opportunity to play. Before joining the program at UC-Davis, I attended a a junior college at first where I got to work out and hone my skills up until I transferred. I felt great when I got to UC-Davis. It was such a great learning experience for me. Playing against grown men was challenging. These guys take the game seriously as they want to make it to the next level. Now that I’ve gotten out of there and seen the world, it’s made me appreciate the beautiful Cali weather even more. I just miss the consistency of knowing what type of weather we’re getting. The amazing weather allows us to do so many activities that we can enjoy. playing basketball at the parks is our idea of a good time. Just being able to work out in decent weather is everything to me. Being from the bay area, I also miss the culture, the music and the laid back lifestyle. It’s such a good vibe out there.

Question 9 How long have you been playing basketball in Japan? What influenced your decision to come and play in Japan? Oh that’s a tricky one, so the first time I came to Japan was during a December holiday in 2014 Two days later, it was new years! So technically I have been in Japan since 2015. I came to Japan after leaving the NBA G-league and I was sort of bouncing around trying to get an opportunity. Initially I wanted to play in Europe as that’s mostly the Second option after the USA. for some reason, it didn’t work out that way.

“A buddy of mine from Atlanta, Georgia came to me with the opportunity of playing in Japan and everything just fell into place and I was on my way.”

A buddy of mine from Atlanta, Georgia came to me with the opportunity of playing in Japan and everything just fell into place and I was on my way. coming to Japan was by chance and not planned at all. But things worked out for the best. Question 10 According to our research, you played Your first professional stint in Japan, in Hiroshima. How was the expeience of Playing there? How was the team culture And coaching style? Hiroshima was such a surreal place, especially with all its history. I really do believe that life comes full circle, and me being from the USA and playing in a city with so much of a painful history with the US, was a humbling experience. it was an unbelievable journey and the fans were great to us and treated us foreign players so well. The energy there was just too electric for words to describe.

Hopefully the change will happen, that we’ve all been waiting for.
