Jason Gym, Home of the Blue Tigers Jason Hall was originally built in 1958. Over the years, an addition was made to the front of the building, along with several other minor renovations. The first phase of the Jason Hall renovation took place with an installation of a new HVAC system, a new basketball court and bleacher system. In 2008, the second phase addressed safety issues within the building, such as updating the sprinkler system. The Physical Education department received a new office complex, complete with private offices and a conference room. New audio/visual equipment was also installed in the PE classrooms. The coaches' offices were also renovated to allow for more privacy. The locker rooms were completely redone and a new weight room with state-of-the-art equipment was constructed. The restrooms, ticket booth and concessions area were also remodeled. Finally, a new Daktronics scoreboard was installed in the gym to allow fans the chance to see up to the second player points and other stats.

Kiki Glass enters her second season as the Lincoln women’s basketball team’s assistant coach in 2017-18. In her first year with the program, Glass helped lead a rebuilding LU squad into postseason contention, as the Blue Tigers just missed the conference tournament on the final day of the season. Lincoln swept Lindenwood, a team that ultimately advanced to the MIAA Semifinals, that season. Glass spent five seasons as an assistant coach at USC Upstate, helping to recruit nine players for the Spartans’ first season at the NCAA Division I level in 200708. Glass worked primarily with the guards and developed several players who helped quickly turn USC Upstate into a winning program, including Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year Tee’Ara Copney and Atlantic Sun scoring champion Courtney Hawkins. Her work as both a coach and a recruiter helped the Spartans increase their win total each season, from five wins in its first year as a DI program to 20 in 2009-10.

Kiki Glass

Assistant Coach 2nd Season at LU 2nd Season Overall

Following the 2009-10 season, Glass left USC Upstate to coach with her mentor, Kathy Washington, at basketball programs at Therrell High and Grady High in Atlanta, Ga. Glass helped manage all aspects of both programs until Washington retired earlier this spring. Prior to joining the coaching staff at USC Upstate, Glass spent four years playing at NCAA Division I Western Carolina, leading the school to its first-ever berth in the Southern Conference championship game in 2003-04. As a sophomore in 2002-03, Glass helped the Catamounts win a season-record 21 games, and during her freshman season she made the Southern Conference All-Freshman team. During her senior campaign in 2004-05, Glass averaged a team-high 3.2 assists as she led Western Carolina to 18 victories and a trip to the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship tournament. Glass also enjoyed a stellar high school career, earning all-conference and allstate honors at North Atlanta High. Glass was also named the Atlanta All-City Player of the Year twice and the North Georgia Player of the Year as a junior. During that junior season, Glass led North Atlanta High to the 3A State Championship. Glass was also a two-time Street & Smith All-American honorable mention and, in 2001, led her AAU team to a runner-up finish at the AA National Championships. Glass graduated from Western Carolina in 2005 with a bachelor of science degree in accounting and marketing.

Durant, who was named as one of the top-25 point guards in the state of Florida in her class in 2003, joined some of the top female players in the country at the the Blue Chips Basketball Camp before the start of her senior year. Following graduation, Durant received a scholarship to play at Palm Beach Community College, where she helped the program win a league title in 2004-05. She then transferred to Atlanta Metropolitan College before finishing her career at the University of Montevallo, an NCAA Division II program. John Moseley was elevated to the position of Director of Athletics in April of 2016. Since being named the Interim Director of Athletics at the start of the 2015-16 season, Moseley has overseen massive renovations to Dwight T. Reed Stadium which included new lights, artificial turf, a brand new track and a video scoreboard. Moseley also assisted in the development of The LINC, LU's new wellness and recreation center, as well as the creation of a new softball field. Moseley has also helped lead the Blue Tigers by strengthening partnerships in the Jefferson City community and assisting in the creation of the Blue Tiger Athletics Club, the main fundraising arm of Lincoln athletics. Following one of the most successful two-year runs in recent memory, Moseley will also enter his fourth season as the head coach of the Lincoln men’s basketball team. In his second year with the program, Moseley led the Blue Tigers to a 16-14 record, marking the first winning season since 2001-02. In 2016-17, Moseley improved upon that mark by leading the Blue Tigers to 17 victories and a second-straight postseason win. Lincoln ultimately dropped an 80-76 decision in the MIAA tournament to Northwest Missouri, the eventual national champion. Under Moseley's guidance, Anthony Virdure was named All-MIAA first team while Jaylon Smith was an all-league third team selection.

John Moseley Athletic Director

Moseley has a bachelor’s degree in science, exercise and sport science as well as a master’s degree in education and athletic administration. Moseley and his wife, Crystal, have a daughter, Jillian.

Kemna became Lincoln’s athletic director on July 1, 2009, after serving as assistant athletic director for compliance for the previous four years. Kemna was no stranger to Lincoln before then, however, as she was a softball player for the Blue Tigers prior to becoming LU’s head softball coach/concession coordinator in 1997.

Betty Kemna

In 1999, Kemna took on additional duties as the department’s Senior Women’s Administrator, and was named the compliance coordinator in 2003. Kemna completely turned around the compliance department, leading the institution through a five-year probation period that was a result of violations prior to her appointment. LINCOLN UNIVERSITY 2017-18 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL MEDIA GUIDE

Since 2003, few teams in any sport have achieved the level of success enjoyed by the Lincoln women’s track & field team. The Blue Tigers continued the dynasty in March of 2016, when Lincoln won the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field national title. Winners of 12 total national championships over the past 13 years, including five-straight NCAA Division II outdoor titles from 2003-2007, the Blue Tiger track & field program was honored in 2013 by being inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. Lincoln has established itself as one of the top track & field programs in all of NCAA Division II, with the men's team also taking third at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. Both the LU men and women won MIAA championships in indoor track & Field in 2016, with the men taking the title during the 2017 outdoor season en route to finishing as the national runner-up at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Lincoln men's golf team has also experienced the feeling of winning a championship recently, as the Blue Tigers have won seven PGA Minority Collegiate National Championship Division II tournaments. An annual golf tournament sponsored by the PGA and open to all HBCU men's golf programs, Lincoln posted wire-to-wire victories at the championship in 2013 and 2014. In 2015, Blake Lammers continued the tradition by becoming the individual champion at the PGA Minority Collegiate Championship. Last year, Lammers also was the individual titleist at the MIAA Championships and became the first Blue Tiger to qualify for the NCAA region since current coach Aaron Murphy accomplished the feat in 2009. Over the past six years, 10 of Lincoln's 12 athletic programs have qualified for some form of postseason competition. In 2011-12, the LU women's basketball team came within eight points of playing in the MIAA tournament championship game. In 2013, Twishana Williams became the only female runner in the MIAA to earn All-American honors. Last season, the LU men's basketball team enjoyed a 12-2 record at home en route to a berth in the MIAA quarterfinals while Sedeekie Edie broke the NCAA Division II championship record in the indoor long jump to claim the national title.

The women's track & field team won its 12th national championship in 2016.

Blake Lammers won the PGA Minority Collegiate Championship in 2015 and the MIAA title in 2016.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY 2017-18 WOMEN'S BAKSETBALL MEDIA GUIDE

History of Lincoln University At the close of the Civil War, soldiers and officers of the 62nd United States Colored Infantry, stationed at Fort McIntosh, Texas, but composed primarily of Missourians, took steps to establish an educational institution in Jefferson City, Missouri, which they named Lincoln Institute. The following stipulations were set for the school: 1. The institution shall be designed for the special benefit of the freed African-Americans; 2. It shall be located in the state of Missouri; 3. Its fundamental idea shall be to combine study and labor. Members of the 62nd Colored Infantry contributed $5,000; this was supplemented by approximately $1,400, given by the 65th Colored Infantry. On January 14, 1866, Lincoln Institute was formally established under an organization committee. By June of the same year, it incorporated and the committee became a Board of Trustees. Richard Baxter Foster, a former first lieutenant in the 62nd Infantry, was named first principal of Lincoln Institute. On September 17, 1866, the school opened its doors to the first class in an old frame building in Jefferson City. In 1869, Lincoln Institute moved to the present campus, and in 1870 it began to receive aid from the state of Missouri for teacher training. College-level work was added to the curriculum in 1877, and passage of the Normal School Law permitted Lincoln graduates to teach for life in Missouri without further examination. Lincoln Institute formally became a state institution in 1879 with the deeding of the property to the state. Under the second Morrill Act of 1890, Lincoln became a land grant institution, and the following year industrial and agricultural courses were added to the curriculum. In 1921, the Missouri Legislature passed a bill introduced by Walthall M. Moore, the first black American to serve in that body, which changed the name from Lincoln Institute to Lincoln University and created a Board of Curators to govern the University. The North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools accredited the high school division in 1925, the teacher-training program in 1926, and the four-year college of arts and sciences in 1934. Graduate instruction was begun in the summer session of 1940, with majors in education and history and minors in English, history, and sociology. A School of Journalism was established in February 1942. In 1954, the United States Supreme Court handed down its ruling in Brown v. Board of Education, and Lincoln University responded by opening its doors to all applicably meeting its entrance criteria. Today, Lincoln University serves a diverse clientele, both residential and non-residential, engages in a variety of research projects, and offers numerous public service programs in addition to providing an array of academic programs.
