Dear Parents of 5th through 12th Grade Students: TCT, Big Horn Federal Savings Bank, along with other business and community partners, in conjunction with Northwest College Foundation, the Big Horn Basin Health Coalition and Cody Schools, are proud to support the youth of our communities through an unprecedented scholarship fund for grades 6-12. The goal of Today’s Choices for Tomorrow is to make available $150 scholarship—every semester for students in our area, that accumulates toward a potential total amount of $2,100 for a student beginning the program in the 6th grade ($300 per year). Following graduation, this money can then be used by the student for postsecondary education or training. Overall, we hope this will help students value their current education and give them opportunities to gain skills to be more valuable to a potential employer after graduation! • • • • • •

Students in 5th through 12th Grade are eligible to apply (funds can be accumulated in grades 6—12). This year’s 5th Graders can apply to begin in 6th Grade. Your student can earn $150 per semester toward a cumulative scholarship upon Graduation (once selected to participate in the program). Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA, as the Hathaway Scholarship already significantly reinforces for higher GPA & ACT scores. Scholarship monies may be used for any qualifying educational program or training, both in-state schools/programs or out-of-state. Students already in the program are not eligible to re-apply for additional funds. Students selected for the program based on a random selection criteria after application for the program.
This Application Period will close Oct 1st, 2012 for participation during the 2012—2013 school year. Future openings will be based on available funds—projected to be on a yearly basis. Applications will be kept on file (unless requested otherwise) making your student eligible for future openings—so students don’t have to re-apply for every new application period to be eligible.
