Shape of wood — inspiration
Inspiration The strips exploiting daylighting and artificial lighting give life to games of light and shadows that, through the multiple dynamic perspectives and in complete contrast with the surrounding space, constantly change the perception of Piazza Santa Giulia, especially during the day. in which various factors of sunlight influence, leading to always different effects.
The route inside the installation is dictated by instinct, you can follow the recommended roads or pass safely between the strips whose position is apparently random but if viewed on the flat are positioned so as to remember the texture of the wood, a effect also underlined by the upper part that is colored, as happens in the sawmill, and some strips will have a fluorescent paint to create a contrast with the night and suggest a path.
