HAMWORTHY LAUNCHES NEW CIBSE ACCREDITED HEAT PUMP CPD AND WHITE PAPER Hamworthy Heating has announced two new resources – ‘An Introduction to Heat Pumps’ CIBSE Approved CPD and ‘The Hamworthy Roadmap to Decarbonisation’ White Paper. Ideal for specifiers and installers wishing to understand more about heat pumps and the latest industry developments, ‘An Introduction to Heat Pumps’ is the latest CIBSE-accredited Continuous Professional Development (CPD) course from Hamworthy Heating. Covering the main heat pump operating principles such as energy, refrigeration, technology and efficiency, the latest CPD offering from highlights the different types of commercial heat pump equipment available and explores the influencing factors which need to be considered before heat pump selection. Also focusing on heat pump design principles, ‘An Introduction to Heat Pumps’ looks at the main points to consider when it comes to designing a heat pump system, before concluding with an overview of market drivers and government incentives. To further support the transition to low carbon heating and hot water, the new ‘Hamworthy Roadmap to Decarbonisation: Planning Your Journey’ White Paper features an in-depth examination of decarbonisation. Looking at the current landscape; the latest White Paper from Hamworthy discusses the challenges of implementing a roadmap to decarbonisation and how heat pumps play a pivotal role in this transition. www.hamworthy-heating.com

OMNIE PLACING BENCHMARK PERFORMANCE INFORMATION ON UFH PRODUCTS OMNIE, the award-winning UK underfloor heating specialist, is to place benchmark performance information on all its underfloor heating products from Autumn 2023. The information will provide customers with full and transparent disclosure on the efficiencies and heat outputs of its underfloor heating, including the renowned TorFloor 2 integrated floor deck system and the newly launched LowBoard 2 overlay system panels. The OMNIE 50/50 Performance Benchmark offers two datasets for comparison purposes: POWER BENCHMARK – UFH heat output from 50 o C flow water temperature (in W/m2 ) EFFICIENCY BENCHMARK – The flow water temperature needed to achieve 50 W/m 2 heat output “The 50/50 Performance Benchmark is analogous to a comparison of two modern cars with different MPG ratings, engine efficiency ratings and horsepower,” says Brendan Hourican, OMNIE’s Managing Director. “They can both reach 70 miles per hour, but one will be achieving this effortlessly at an efficiency of 60MPG, while the less efficient car will be working harder and drinking 25MPG. We’re now in a new era of heating our homes with clean, green fuels, which is driving the transition from boilers to heat pump technology. What’s important is that underfloor heating products pair effectively with heat pumps and absolutely minimise the amount of energy a building’s heating system requires to provide effective heat.” www.omnie.co.uk
