MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR Dear Key Clubbers, It feels so good to be back in school! After the summer, we have a long year of service and school ahead of us. In this issue, there will be info about registration, new events, and just a general description of what Key Club is for all you newcomers out there. Registration starts from the first meeting but you can register after a few meetings to get a feel for the club. We’ll be raffling off our Key Club lanyards for the first several meetings so stop on by and get a ticket!

What we do Key Club international is sponsored by Kiwanis International; we assist Kiwanis in carrying out its mission to serve the children of the world. Members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives.

PTSA Bake Sale September 29 (Monday) Location: Garfield High School Time: 6:30 to 8:30 Help Key Club sell baked goods at the PTSA meeting.
NW Tea Festival October 5 (Sunday) Location: Northwest Rooms at Seattle Center Time: 4-7 P.M. Leader: Jennifer Wang Plan on drinking and learning about some great teas as well as meeting and working with some great people. You will receive a tasting cup, a 2014 t-shirt, and a bag for all of your goodies to thank you for giving your time to the Tea Festival.
Halloween Spookyfest Carnival October 24 (Friday) Location: Chinatown Community Center Time: 4-9 P.M. Leader: TBD Looking for 20-30 volunteers. At this family-friendly costumed carnival, help give back to the community by running interactive mini carnival games!
LIHI Gala & Auction October 24 (Friday) Location: Four Seasons (99 Union St Seattle, WA, 98101) Time: 5:30-9 P.M. Leader: TBD We will be helping out with regular auction duties.
