I strongly believe that Product Design can make people’s life better. As a designer in the making, all my efforts are oriented towards the creation of artefacts which can ease, assist, accompany and guide our daily lives in such way that they become embedded in our existences, habits and perceptions. The projects I have been working on so far are very heterogeneous, and range from interaction design to technical embodiment tasks: Concept 01 is a conceptual design with the aim to build a positive relationship towards food waste and recycling. Concept 02 represents a product improvement in collaboration with a local interior design practice. Concept 03 is a detailed technical design of a home elliptical trainer for adults and seniors.

|Bio I am a very enthusiastic Product Design student at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. I was born and raised in Italy, but after graduating from high school I decided to move to the UK to continue my studies, which is a decision I will never regret. During my first two years in Glasgow, I had the chance to take part in many enriching opportunities that really helped me become a more thoughtful and experienced person, and hopefully a better designer. I am a very down-to-earth person, I love being surprised and I enjoy everything that is unexpected and challenging, especially when it comes to me in the shape of a new design brief. What I think is the main reason why I am so passionate about Product and Industrial Design is the opportunity I have to transform a problem into a solution that can benefit others.

Interaction Design
THE SOUP BOX is a compact and multifun-
ctional product designed to stimulate a conscious approach to food waste recycling within a home environment. It is an entertaining educational tool that aims to bring parents and children together while learning how to reuse food scraps and leftovers for making new meals.

Making SOUP is a family affair
|Product [re]design CONVERTIBLE ARMCHAIRS are very niche products, often used in the
hotel industry as an affordable and space-saving alternative to sofa beds. During my collaboration with Linkinterni Ltd. (Venice, IT) I had the chance to experiment the product redesign process on one of the firm’s very own armchair designs. The result is Alpha, a concept that stands out of the crowd for its versatile combination of functionality and style, perfect for a modern hotel environment.
Alpha
is the final product that Linkinterni decided to incorporate to the company’s portfolio. Everything from the textiles to the metallic bed frame is carefully engineered to allow the best and most comfortable experience. Aalpha is extremely easy to clean and requires very little maintenance. The easy-pull mechanism assists the user in the extraction of the mattress and bed frame, which fuidly collapses and hides inside the armchair in just one movement.
A combination of gentle and armonic curves makes Aalpha the perfect addtion to the decor of a modern hotel room.
The 190*80*8 cm futon mattress is elastic and collapsible, and guarantees the best night’s sleep.
Technical Design| ELLIPTICAL TRAINERS represent an interesting design
challenge for both students and professionals due to their peculiar configuration and apparently limited creative interpretations. In my case, I decided to focus on the concept of a machine that is suitable for both adults and seniors and is ideally used as a home exercise and training tool.
