I have over three years of architectural experience in residential and commercial. I will graduate from the Three-Year M.Arch program from the University of Florida in 2021, and I complete the AXP hours. I am ready to take my first ARE exam and planning to obtain my license to practice architecture. I have strong skills in BIM modeling and experience in detail drawings and construction documentation for large projects with strong implementation and cooperation. Before moving to Florida, I worked as a graphic designer for three years in Beijing, China. The work experience trained me to have good skills in rendering and other visual works. Being a passion and motivated designer, I believe teamwork can lead to good product projects and positive effects. I am looking for a working environment where quality matters and the team comes first.

URBAN MIXED-USE WITH LANDSCAPE ADVANCED STUDIO 3 - 2020 FALL The project aims to provide a better urban experience by integrating the landscape with the architecture. In 2020, the COVID-19 Pandemic is a disruptive moment for our world, and it’s poised to spur transformative shifts in design, from how we experience our homes and offices to the plans of our cities. We should reimagine the landscape urbanism, the commercial layout and feed our cities by planting our food in urban. The site is located in Downtown Orlando between W Central Blvd and W Jefferson St and next to I-4 and Sunrail. The site includes two lot areas, which are parking lots now. Because the site is next to I-4 and surrounding by parking garages, it is recognized as a grey space in the urban environment. For breaking the oppression of I-4, I want to bring green space to the site, like a garden. So I designed the architecture component integrates with the landscape, which allows people to experience not only the inside of architecture but also on the architecture. The project includes two parts; one part is commercial use, which includes retail, restaurants, indoor agriculture, landscape. The other part is the residential and community center. Functional modules form the commercial use area, and the modules carry different using characters in different spatial qualities. The landscape weaves between the store spaces and also weaves together an experience of nature and the marketplace. The ramp and multiple entrances provide many ways to experience the architecture, and the design also helps to control the people density by splitting the flow. The diverse functions engage the visitors and residents to enjoy the place by different needs in the”mini garden city.” The project represents a new angle to think about architecture landscape and marketspace in the urban environment. The architecture is not just the container for marketing but can also be a part of its experience. And the landscape is not only the object surround the building; it can even weave and integrate with the building. Beyond the retail use, the project establishes and introduces a lifestyle in the urban space.

THE LAKE NONA COMMUNITY CENTER ADVANCED STUDIO 2 - 2020 SPRING
The project aims to create the community belonging for a new town near by Orlando, Florida. The program is a community center where allows humans and nature to enjoy together. Garden is most suitable for the achievement, so raise the garden to build a leveled walkable roof, and the program spaces fit below. The community center will have a reception center, restaurant, stores, library, local artists exhibition hall, education area, and a small temple zone for meditation.
“MORE IS MORE” The program is a community center for Lake Nona’s new town center. Lake Nona is a newly developing district in central Florida. As a new district, the project’s goal is to create community belonging and a site to allow humans and nature to enjoy together. Garden is most suitable for the achievement, so raise the garden to build a leveled walkable roof, and the program spaces fit below. A strip of “river” cuts the building, the water as a medium, connects with the water fountain on another site, ties up the programs on the site. The community center will have a reception center, restaurant, stores, library, local artists exhibition hall, education area, and a small temple zone for meditation. For creating community belonging, I believe the place should provide multiple moments for people hanging out and the opportunity of communication. I think the moments create architecture. Those moments can be defined by the sizes, the functions, the circulations ... of the space. And also, the building’s location and the surrounding buildings are essential for the layout of the spaces. The building locates between the train station and the hotel. So on the train station side, will be the reception center, cafe, stores, and the library. On the hotel side, will be the local artists’ exhibition hall, art studio and gift store, for presenting to the visitors. I believe “more is more,” Minimalism is a false idea for architecture. I think architecture should provide multi experiences to keep vitality. Feeling the spaces and experiences is more close to the real look of architecture.

BIOMIMETIC MAN-MADE SPACE VS NATURAL ELASTIC SPACE Core Studio 3 – 2018 Fall
The project is based on the establishment of an environmentally and friendly space for purifying, relaxing and at the same time have the function of biological research in a wildness nature park. The spaces in nature landscape are dynamic and various. The spaces are elastic that defined by the species of plant, seasons and circumstance. The properties of the nature systems such as: dynamics, capacity to manage and process the move, changes and diversity, their parts are inseparable from the whole, hierarchy, constant changes which manifest new properties, sensibility; My goal would be to
explore such properties in my project. Based on the idea of elastic space in the landscape. The project focuses on designing space defined not by a single border line, but through gradients of plants within its surroundings. The man-made spaces have been lifted up that let the man-made structure merge in the nature by preserving natural habitat below. Under the building, is another dynamic space that occupied by plants and creatures and creating inviting, overlapping microclimatic zones that are friendly, hostile, spiritual, exciting or relaxing.

University of Florida Center for Hydro-Generated Urbanism Core Studio 4 – 2019 Spring
The project propose a new public center for discussing and educating public the Hydro-Generated issues. The project focuses on urban integrated design of hydro-generated environments and the importance of applying design thinking to the most pressing social and environmental problems associated with an increasingly dense world facing climate variability, sea-level rise, and flooding risks in a moment when the issue is understood as crucial across the planet.

Culinary Center in GrowHub Community Design Practice – 2020 Summer GrowHub consists of Seed Collective Program (with process from preparing, drying, storing, collecting and exchanging seeds); Youth Gardens Program (employing youth who graduated from Duval Elementary with the help of volunteers); Arts & Medicine; Nursery; and all sub-programs (composting, storing, etc). All these programs need to be organized to enhance efficiency and more enjoyable working experience. Our proposal will work with existing components.
ELASTIC SPACE WITHIN RIGID LANDSCAPE To see a World in a Grain of Sand And a Heaven in a Wild Flower Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand And Eternity in an hour —— WILLIAM BLAKE
Both of elastic and rigid space are existing in the landscape. The crown of trees, the leaves of plants, the flowers.... frame the elastic space. The spaces are changing with the winds, the sun, the creatures. The transformation of space is elastic. On the contrary, the ground and topo exist to be the rigid space. The shelter is an extension of the ground. The shelter creates two spaces, one is open, the threads behaves as envelop of the shelter and creates the elastic space in the
same time. The shelter frame with the landscape to a rigid space which is a closed, narrow space compares to the open side. The threads will be changing by outside forces, and the orders of the threads offer a rythem to the landscape. The rythem is not new, it is existing in the forest, but it is almost invisible, you may sense it... The concrete element has just perfect slope for visitor can lay on and discovery another view of the landscape.
It is a place that unravels itself as the user, through various forces, perceives the whole, consequently becoming an active element in the landscape. I attempt to create innovative designs that integrate natural and artificial elements into complete, multi-functional and sustainable urban systems that promote quality urban lifestyles in overall harmonic landscapes.
PRINTED HOUSE TINY HOUSE COMPETITION Housing problems are intensifying under the impact of the Pandemic. in response to the Pandemic, spatial arrangement, functional design and construction techniques are essential for every designer. In this project, combined with modern 3D printing technology, segmented different functional areas into separate units for printing. Setting the printer up on the truck will create transportable fabrication. It will allow fabricating on-site and break the limitation of transportation. The assembly building units require fewer laborers and also require less time to finish the construction. The customer can also customize the units based on the lifestyle and space requirements. It is also easy to expand in the future too.
