Ingredients:
6 egg yolks
3/4 cup white sugar
2/3 cup milk
1 1/4 cups heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1 pound mascarpone cheese
1/4 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso
2 tablespoons rum or cognac
24 ladyfingers
Cocoa powder for dusting
In a medium saucepan, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until well blended. Whisk in milk and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
In a large bowl, beat cream with vanilla until stiff peaks form. Add mascarpone cheese to cooled egg mixture and beat until smooth. Fold whipped cream into mascarpone mixture.
In a small bowl, combine coffee and rum.

6 cups thinly sliced and peeled apples
3/4 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 egg white, beaten
APPLE PIE DAYS
A good apple pie is made with fresh, crisp apples, a flaky crust, and a perfect balance of cinnamon and sugar. It should be baked until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown. There are a few ways to find the best apple pie. You can start by asking friends or family for recommendations, checking online reviews, or visiting local bakeries or restaurants known for their baked goods.
