Live painting at the Old Olive Press On Wednesday 24th July at 21:00 “Art in the Old Olive Press” hosts the work of artist Liana Melissaratou… being born. In an unpredictable happening, the painter will unfold her inspiration in front of the eyes of her audience, searching at the spot for forms, media and ways of expression. If you are mesmerised by the world of painting and you never had the chance to visit the atelier of a painter or if you want to watch the creative process of an important painter that lives and works on Poros island, you will have the opportunity two days after the full moon at dreamy night Pounta.
Liana Melissaratou was born in Lixouri, Kefalonia in 1964. She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts with D. Mytaras and N. Kessanlis (1983-1989). She studied scenography with V. Vassileiadis (1986). She attented seminars on Byzantology and Video Art at ''Ecole de Beaux Arts'' in Paris and in Montpellier (1987–1988). She is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece. Her works are found in public and private collections in Greece and abroad.
