Welcome back! We have an exciting autumn season ahead with something for everyone. Little ones can experience the thrills of the circus via our very own Miniature Travelling Circus, and the excitement of a Bear Hunt as we bring back our adaptation of Michael Rosen’s classic book. Older pupils can enjoy an alternative version of the Emperor’s New Clothes, a musical spin on a traditional tale, which will get everyone thinking about truth and reality. We round off the term with some festive fun as Scandinavian folklore comes to life in the form of Pixie, who has some tricks up their sleeve on Christmas eve. If you can’t come to us at our venues then we also have shows out on tour, as well as school-based workshops for pupils and teachers and a whole range of online shows and activities. There’s no excuse not to get involved and be part of the fun!

HOW TO BOOK

This alternative version of the classic moral fairy tale is a great starting point for exploring alternative versions of well-known stories and traditional tales.

King Reginald is a ruler who likes to keep in style. But the fashions change so fast, he’s afraid he can’t keep up…

Hearing of the King’s predicament, two fast-talking “Weavers” head to the palace with their brand new fabric: it’s “smart” and it’s “in” and it NEVER goes out of fashion. Soon the Kingdom is alive with talk of the magical cloth and Reginald can’t wait to wear his “smart” new suit to the Big Parade. But what are these “weavers” really spinning…?

MONSTRO and Little Angel Theatre’s latest Puppet Musical is an anarchic re-telling of Hans Christian Andersen’s Emperor’s New Clothes, in which the characters (and the audience) discover that people can be made to believe ANYTHING. With songs, puppetry, slapstick and more, the two Swindlers (or should we call them “actors”?) will weave their cunning magic on children and adults alike…
