BRILLIANT DESIGN BEGINS WITH A QUESTION: HOW CAN WE MAKE YOUR PROJECT EVERYTHING YOU DREAM IT CAN BE?

OUR INSPIRATION COMES WITH YOUR ANSWERS.

Little starts by understanding your goals and aspirations. We ask questions and probe deeply to uncover opportunities maybe even you didn’t imagine could exist. The success of your project is your primary concern – it’s ours too. Little asks what if…until it becomes what is. We view every project through a creative lens, inspired by research and understanding, to develop solutions that exceed your expectations. Little’s customized approach ensures your project receives the full force of our expertise, creativity and innovation – and always with collaborative input from you. Every project taps the skills of Little’s experts who reach far beyond architecture to deliver results that give clients a commanding advantage. Little stays ahead of the curve. We anticipate – and even spark – design and development trends. We’re in the know. We’ll help you choose which combination of up and coming and tried and true options best fit your needs. Little anticipates your future needs – today. Perhaps you are designing with potential expansion in mind or need interior spaces that reconfigure easily. Maybe you want to incorporate environmentally friendly construction techniques, building materials and operating strategies. Little knows what’s available now and what options are on the horizon, and we identify which opportunities best fit your physical and fiscal needs.

Superior design makes a difference. Just check the numbers. Little’s designs have a powerful and measurable impact on improving human and organizational performance – and business results. We increase traffic. Invigorate workers. Stimulate sales. We help lower your energy bill, boost your visibility, cut your construction costs and pump up your profitability. Measurable results require effort and innovation. Effort and innovation are the drivers behind Little’s strategy for mastering an expanding array of design disciplines, pursuing new market niches and widening our geographic reach. Your success is our mission. We know your project’s fiscal soundness is as important as its aesthetic appeal. If design details exceed building budgets, we identify alternative solutions that meet or surpass your expectations – without sacrificing design intent or derailing project goals. We stay with your project as long as you like, helping ensure that every user group takes full advantage of the new environment.

Little offers a comprehensive array of services rare among design firms today. Our multi-disciplinary approach unites architects, interior designers, engineers, land planners, graphic designers, animators and IT experts. This strategy assures you of the most creative, comprehensive and fully coordinated solutions possible. We’ve searched out the best of the best, so you don’t have to. These experts collaborate with you and with one another, balancing the regional knowledge acquired through Little’s national network of offices with local, market specific needs to create the most effective design solution for you.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN We accept that in designing sustainable environments there are various ‘’shades of green”; that due to the uniqueness of each project some sustainable design ideas are better suited for it than others. Yet we will always approach each project looking for those sustainable initiatives that have the greatest environmental impact, including advocacy for LEED certification or other recognized industry programs, while balancing other project parameters and client goals. Our adoption of the 2030 Challenge confirms our commitment to designing projects that will achieve an energy consumption performance standard of 50 percent of the regional (or country) average for that project’s building type. Every five years the standard will increase by an additional 10 percent, achieving carbon-neutral buildings in the year 2030.

BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM) 4

BIM-CAPABLE ARCHITECTS, ENGINEERS, LAND PLANNERS AND INTERIOR DESIGNERS

The use of BIM in a modern architectural practice constitutes a fundamental change in the way that we, as architects, involve our clients and consultants in the design process. By fully utilizing BIM as a standard component of our Design Methodology, we are able to develop benefits for our clients that far exceed those possible using more traditional methods of design implementation. This change ensures that discrepancies between objects and structures are detected early on, and that all members of the design and development team are working toward a unified goal.

Master Planning  Multiple layout and grading alternatives at the earliest conceptual levels. Concept Design  Rather than just creating renderings, BIM allows the designer to provide substantial content about building materials and systems in the earliest phases. Design Development  The information from the conceptual BIM model is developed more fully in this phase. Construction Documents  Better coordination among all disciplines results from collaboration with the BIM model. Construction  The database properties of BIM enable accurate material estimates and quantities. Facility Management & Building Operations  The information developed in design and construction is captured to help with building operations. Renovations  Up-to-date building information simplifies the renovation process.
