ELAD KOPLER (B. 1974, ISRAEL)

Elad Kopler is an awarded Israeli painter which creats alluring landscapes paintings, in which the concrete and figurative is combined with fictional abstraction. Kopler received his B.Ed. from Hamidrasha School of Art in 2004. HE graduated his MFA with distinctions from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in 2006. Kopler follows forking paths seeped with European and Israeli traditions. His paintings have Henri Matisse playing with Joseph Zaritzky and Rafi Lavie. The works feature urban landscapes that appear to have been partially changed. The desolate, vertical and horizontal outlines of architectural structured and buildings assimilated into vestiges of nature, point to traces of a lost culture. Various architectural forms inhabit the rocky, empty and abstracted landscape, alluded to the history of landscape painting. Kopler creats a fictional expanse from his unique gaze, in which a new detail or idea is revealed at every glance.

Kopler’s work has been showcased in solo and group exhibitions including the Tel-Aviv Museum of Art, Tel-Aviv; Haifa Museum of Art, Haifa; Petach Tikva Museum of Art; The Nahum Gutman Museum of Art, Tel-Aviv; Habres & Partner, Vienna; VOLTA13 Basel Art Fair 2017, Basel; and VOLTA NY Art Fair 2016, New York. Kopler has been the recipient of many awards and recognitions, amongst them are the Award for Excellence, Bezalel Academy of Art Design; America Israel Cultural Foundation; Young Artist Award, Ministry of Science Culture & Sport; and the Rappaport Prize for Young Painter, Tel Aviv Museum of Art. Kopler’s works are kept in collections worldwide including the Collection of Tel Aviv Museum for Contemporary Art (Israel); The Collection of Petach Tikvah Musuem for Contemporary Art (Israel); Bank Ha›poalim Collection (Israel); Philip Hofer Collection, NY (USA); Sam & Yael Bacharach, NY (USA); and numerous private collections.

AVIVIT BALLAS (B. 1960, ISRAEL)

Multidisciplinary awarded artist working in drawing, collage painting, digital media and writing. Graduated from Hamidrasha School of Art in 1984. M.A. in Semiology of Art, Universite de Paris VIII, 1989. She’s a Senior Lecturer at the Academy of Arts and Social Science, ASA. From 1985 until 2005 Ballas lived and worked in Paris. Ballas’s themes deal with the phenomena of belonging and alienation, cultural heritage and language, borders and transitions, through images from science and nature combined with quotes from Art history. Ballas’s work has been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries in Israel and abroad including the Ein Harod Art Museum, Ein Harod, Israel, The Wilfrid Museum, Israel, the Gallery of the French Institute, Dresden, Germany, the White Elephant Gallery, Paris, the Ateliers de Père Lachaise, Paris and many more.

Avivit Ballas has been the recipient of many awards and recognitions. Selected awards include Wizo prize for young artist 1990, Prize for Excellency in Art Israeli Ministry of Immigrant Absorption, Arts Department 2005. Her works are kept in collections worldwide including the Jose Mograbi Collection, the Menashe Kadishman Collection, the Bank Leumi le-Israel Collection, in addition to various private collections in France, Great Britain, United States, Belgium, Germany, Canada, Sweden and Israel.

TAMAR RODED (B. 1983, ISRAEL)

Tamar Roded graduated from Beit Berl College School of Art – Hamidrasha in 2011 and Mandel Program for Cultural Leadership in 2020. Roded’s painting reflect a complex reality, in which the act of painting involves another dimension of data processing – the consciousness: that illusive term, combines and distorts sensed life experience into something else, different in essence from its original form. The painting is not an imitation of “what I see,” but a constant reflection of the “essence” of vision itself. Roded’s work has been showcased in solo and group exhibitions including the Glo’Art Gallery, Lanaken, Belgium, the ZK Contemporary Gallery, San Francisco, USA, Lendava Gallery Museum, Slovenia, the Negev Museum of Art, Beer Sheva, Israel, Tel Aviv, Israel, and Litvak Contemporary gallery, Tel Aviv, Israel. Her works works are kept in collections worldwide

including the Isrotel Hotel Chain Collection, Glo’ Art Gallery collection, Belgium, Lendava gallery museum collection, Slovenia, Attorney Shlomo Cohen, private collection, Israel, Serge Tiroche, private collection, and more. Roded is the recipient of many awards and recognitions, amongst them are the Negev Development Authority 2020 Scholarship for executing an artistic project (2020), ‘Artist in The Community’ scholarship by the Ministry of Culture (2018, 2019), the forth Artist Career Development Program (ACDP), a partnership of Artis, Artport and Asylum Arts, and more.
