Welcome to Prosper Eagle Lady Volleyball! On behalf of Prosper Independent School District and the Prosper ISD Board of Trustees I would like to welcome you to our great community and to tonight’s volleyball game. I would like to extend a special greeting to the students, parents, and community members from our visiting school district as well as our own team as we share in an evening of celebrating the competition between schools. I would also like to thank our coaches for their commitment to the overall development of each of the student athletes that compete this evening. A good coach can change a game, but a great coach can change a life. The investment by the coaches on the court tonight comes from the heart to mold and develop the student athletes. The additional time and effort for student athletes should be applauded and admired. The work, dedication, character building and responsibility you see before you tonight will have a lifelong impact as each of these student athletes grows into adulthood. The moments that occur tonight are beyond special as these stories become stories that our student athletes will continue to tell through the years. Tonight, volleyball fans will share a universal language that will exude passion, enthusiasm and raw emotion. Please remember how important the moments you have before you tonight are to our student athletes. Support them, encourage them, and help us teach them the love of sportsmanship. In the end, volleyball is about unity and learning to work together as a team. It is my hope that you will enjoy your visit to Prosper ISD and live in the moment. As fans and supporters, we ask that you respect the efforts of both teams along with the officials as we enjoy tonight’s competition for there will be many young athletes and young fans observing and following your lead. As always, we appreciate your support of our student athletes and wish you a safe journey home. GO LADY EAGLES,

Welcome to the Eagle’s Nest and home of the Prosper HS Eagles! Here in Prosper ISD Athletics, it is our goal to develop better student athletes and to develop better people. The entire coaching staff of Prosper ISD will encourage and empower student athletes to become better students, athletes, leaders and people. Prosper ISD student athletes have the expectation they will consistently work to improve themselves, their teammates and the game as a whole. Prosper ISD Parents will be supportive and positive at all times and help their student athletes to absorb the life lessons being taught. Athletics is an educational process which requires all three vital components – Coaches, Parents & Student Athletes – to unite together to create the best possible educational athletic experience. Prosper ISD Athletics had another very successful year in 2019-2020 both athletically and academically. Before our Spring seasons were cancelled, we earned 3 District Championships along with 1 Regional Championship. We also had two state champions in Aubrey O’Connell (XC) and Rylan Bonds (WR). We had 15 programs advance as Regional Qualifiers along with 63 individual Regional Qualifiers. Prosper HS also had 27 individuals advance as State Qualifiers in their specific sport as this is our highest number of qualifying athletes so far. This past school year, 36 athletes received full or partial scholarships in order to pursue their higher education over the next few years. Our athletes’ academic success is proven with the 253 of them who earned Academic All-District honors and the 54 earning Academic All-State honors. We are VERY proud of these achievements as they represent the great student athletes, students, administrators, parents and overall community we have around Prosper HS As evidenced above, there are unbelievable successes happening in Prosper ISD Athletics. No matter the outcome of tonight’s game, every student and student athlete involved appreciates your support while they perform and more importantly, afterwards, regardless of the score. Honor the Game,
Coach Little Valerie Little, Director of Athletics Prosper Independent School District

Dear Lady Eagle Volleyball fans, “We made it!” I know this phrase is typically said at graduation, but I think these words also apply to the 2020 Prosper High School volleyball season. I am honored to serve as your Prosper Volleyball Booster Club President this year. I am excited to be a part of a program steeped in tradition, teaming with loyal fans, and supported by a school district dedicated to the development of PHS student athletes. I would like to personally thank each and every person, business and community member that has supported our program throughout the years. We are all blessed to be part of a such a caring and giving community. I would like to acknowledge the parents who freely give their time to ensure that the players receive the support they need to be successful on and off the court. I want to recognize the coaching staff and their families for the sacrifice each makes to lead these young student athletes through a demanding program that prepares them not just for game play, but for life. And I want to give a special thank you to Jason and Heather Reynolds at Cedarbrook Media for the fantastic photography and design that you will see in this media guide. As a mother of a senior, my family has been blessed to have been part of Prosper Volleyball for the past six years. From the middle schools to Prosper High school, there is no doubt that we have the best volleyball program in the state of Texas. None of us know what this season has in store with the pandemic, but I do know that no matter what, “Together We Soar.” Thank you and Go Eagles!

Prosper Volleyball Fans-Welcome to the 2020-2021 Volleyball Season! What a crazy year this has been, as well as a very interesting start to the season. However, the fact that I’m writing a media guide letter means that we have reached the season and I cannot wait to get it started! The UIL cancelled tournament season, so while I wish I was writing a recap about our San Diego trip, unfortunately I can only dream about what could have been. However, I can reflect upon the last month of practice, who we have returning, and how I see the season to be. We started practice on August 3rd with tryouts. We were expecting fewer girls trying out this year due to a second high school opening up, but nonetheless, I was impressed with our freshman numbers and we have a high quality 9th grade class that I’m so excited about! All four teams have been practicing Monday-Friday since then, and I have witnessed each team improving by the day. Both freshman teams have some great athletes, and our Freshman A team may be the most fundamentally sound 9A team we have had here at PHS. Our Junior Varsity is bigger than ever before, with 18 on the roster, but this is because we had so many quality girls tryout! They also are fortunate to have Coach Olivia Mastrilli as their coach, who is new this year and I am so excited about what she is bringing to our program. She was a four year standout at University of Houston at the libero position, and she is very big on discipline, something that our ball control needs. Varsity picked up where they left off last year, with only one starter graduating. They have been working hard in practice and competing against each other every day. I have been particularly impressed with Sophomore Ella Chaney, who has stepped into a starting role and it’s like she’s a seasoned veteran. Junior Jazzlyn Ford has also broken through and really come out of her shell to run a clean, up-tempo offense, and is being aggressive at the net offensively with that deadly left arm she has! And as always, seniors Samantha Jacobs, Nikki Steinheiser, Bailey Birmingham and Taylor Youtsey are all leading by example every day in the gym and in the weight room, the pillars of consistency. Once we get everyone back and healthy, there is no doubt we are going to be a top team in Texas and once again, competing deep into the playoffs in hopes for a spot in the 6A Final Four. Please sit back, relax, and enjoy some amazing volleyball. We appreciate your unwavering support and look forward to continuing the legacy that the Prosper Volleyball Alums have left behind. Go Eagles!
