Message from the Superintendent Welcome to Rock Hill High School and Lady Blue Hawk Volleyball! On behalf of Prosper Independent School District and the Prosper ISD Board of Trustees I would like to welcome you to our great community and to tonight’s volleyball game. I would like to extend a special greeting to the students, parents, and community members from our visiting school district as well as our own team as we share in an evening of celebrating the competition between schools. I would also like to thank our coaches for their commitment to the overall development of each of the student athletes that compete this evening. A good coach can change a game, but a great coach can change a life. The investment by the coaches on the court tonight comes from the heart to mold and develop the student athletes. The additional time and effort for student athletes should be applauded and admired. The work, dedication, character building and responsibility you see before you tonight will have a lifelong impact as each of these student athletes grows into adulthood. The moments that occur tonight are beyond special as these stories become stories that our student athletes will continue to tell through the years. Tonight, volleyball fans will share a universal language that will exude passion, enthusiasm and raw emotion. Please remember how important the moments you have before you tonight are to our student athletes. Support them, encourage them, and help us teach them the love of sportsmanship. In the end, volleyball is about unity and learning to work together as a team. It is my hope that you will enjoy your visit to Prosper ISD and live in the moment. As fans and supporters, we ask that you respect the efforts of both teams along with the officials as we enjoy tonight’s competition for there will be many young athletes and young fans observing and following your lead. As always, we appreciate your support of our student athletes and wish you a safe journey home. GO LADY BLUE HAWKS,

Dr. Holly Ferguson, Ed. D. Superintendent of Schools Prosper Independent School District

Message from the Principal

Hello ROCK NATION Volleyball, I have the honor of serving at RHHS as the campus principal. It has been a privilege to help open this incredible campus and I have no doubt you are going absolutely love being a part of our Blue Hawk family. When I talk to people everyone always asks “what has been the best part of opening a high school”? Without a doubt it has been working with our students to help “Build the Hill” as we say. Nearly every detail of what makes Rock Hill, Rock Hill, has been selected and developed by our kids. The most notable of that is our Core Values, Integrity, Creativity, Service, Excellence, Empathy, and Unity. These values are the foundation of who we are and together they form the acronym “ICSEEU” which you will see everywhere on our campus. That acronym has become a promise to our students that at Rock Hill we want to make sure they are seen, heard and loved everyday they step foot on our campus or are participating in our eschool platform. My hope is that when you get a chance to visit our and talk with our staff you walk away with a feeling that we truly put our students first and absolutely LOVE what we do in getting to be a part of their life each day. Go ROCK!!

Mr Dustin Toth

Rock Hill High School Principal

Message from the PISD Director of Athletics

Welcome Blue Hawks to a great inaugural year for your teams at Prosper ISD! We are excited more than ever to kick off this season as were we not sure we would get this opportunity. We went through quite a bit as a school district and nation the past few months. We are fortunate to get back to athletics with our student athletes and Coaches. The lessons learned here through competition and teamwork will benefit our students for the rest of their lives and help them to become better athletes and better people, which is our main goal in Prosper ISD Athletics. Prosper ISD Athletics had another very successful year in 2019-20 both athletically and academically. We had two state champions in Aubrey O’Connell (XC) and Rylan Bonds (WR) both from PHS. This past school year, 36 athletes received full or partial scholarships in order to pursue their higher education over the next few years, which is a great testament to their commitment. Our students’ academic success is just as important to us as their athletic success. We have no doubt our academic & athletic successes will more than double with the addition of the RHHS athletic programs! No matter the outcome of tonight’s game, every student and student athlete involved appreciates your support while they perform and more importantly, afterwards, regardless of the score. Honor the Game,

Coach Little Valerie Little, Director of Athletics Prosper Independent School District

Hey Rock Hill Family!! I am thrilled to be a Blue Hawk and join Rock Hill with a Masters in Educational Administration after serving 10 years in education and 12 years in coaching. I joined Prosper ISD in 2019 as an Instructional Technology Coach and prior to joining Prosper, I spent 9 years leading, teaching, and coaching in McKinney and Richardson ISD. Previously, I was the Head Volleyball Coach at McKinney North taking them to their first playoff appearance after a 5-year drought while also teaching PreAP and English 2 as the team lead. At McKinney Boyd, I was an assistant volleyball coach helping the Lady Broncs earn a playoff bid every year and a State appearance in 2012. In the classroom, I served as an English Design Coach, District Curriculum English 2 team member, team lead, and teacher. Prior to entering education, I coached at the college level as an assistant for UT-Arlington Volleyball and was a Sports Reporter for KXII in Sherman. Throughout this time, I have also coached club for Skyline Volleyball Club, PSA-McKinney Summer Camps, and currently for Arete Athletics. As a volleyball player, I have a USAV Junior Olympic 18-Open Gold Medal, playing with Front Range Volleyball Club for 10 years and earning a volleyball scholarship to captain my team at both Boise State and Texas State. In my free time, you can find me cheering on my husband, who is the Head Basketball Coach at Frisco Liberty, and dancing around with my four children who are also future Blue Hawks. I have a passion for empowering young people to get after their dreams and can’t wait to bring that spirit to Rock Hill! “You are what you repeatedly do; excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit,” Will Durant “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined,” Henry David Thoreau Thanks, Coach Friar

Coach Dangerfield is entering her 11th year of teaching and coaching. Before her arrival at Rock Hill High School, she served as the Head Volleyball Coach at Creekview High School (5A) in Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD. She served in this role for 2 years. Prior to Creekview she was the JV coach at Lake Dallas High School (5A). She also spent 5 years as the JV/ Assistant Varsity Coach at Texas High School (5A) in Texarkana ISD. Coach Dangerfield attended Henderson State University, a NCAA Division II in Arkansas, where she was a middle blocker for the volleyball team. In her time at Henderson she earned her Bachelors and received many volleyball awards. She also earned a Master’s degree for Education in Administration from Lamar University. Coach Dangerfield is married to Jason Dangerfield who is a teacher and coach at Rogers Middle School. Together, they have 3 children. Jaylen is 12 who is a 7th grader at Rogers Middle School, Jlyric is 3 and Jaxxon is 1. Coach Dangerfield enjoys spending time at home with her family in her free time. Coach Dangerfield is elated to join Prosper ISD and looks forward to building a long lasting relationship with the Rock Hill team, students and athletes.
