The Culinary-Hospitality Advancement Mentorship Program (CHAMP) was developed by FringeArts in partnership with the School District of Philadelphia. In its inaugural year, this program consisted of chef demonstrations, restaurant visits, internships, and professional development opportunities for over 650 high school students enrolled in the School District’s thirteen Culinary/Hospitality Arts programs. We will be continuing to grow this program each year through the continued support from sponsorship and our FEASTIVAL partners. Embracing the culinary arts as a part of FringeArts seems like a natural next step as it allows us to work more closely with and support those restaurateurs that have been our partners for the past 14 years. The Give & Take Jugglers
We're taking the circus out of the arena, out of the tent, & into the landscape. We explore connections to trees and the sky. We draw attention to the space between light and wind - highlighting that we're all literally supported by our trees and rivers and believe we need to be good stewards.
Give and Take has been a consistent hit with both children and adults for over 40 years. Our highly interactive, comedic show uses traditions from vaudeville, circus arts, theater, and music to create a lively and wholesome performance that feels fresh and contemporary.
Stuck in someone else's dream? Watch your step. Find a guide. Break the frame. Tangle's acrobatic storytellers push through unexpected portals on trapeze and aerial silks in an immersive circus-theater fantasy, inverting relationships from the heights of rivalry to the depths of intimacy. Gunnar Montana Productions
Lillian McGonigle
Yao Xu
Emily Mayer
In this semi-autobiographical solo, McGonigle amalgamates herself into a version of her once seminarian father. Doing so, she fuses fragments of alternate histories that interrogate the notion of family. Recalling what existed, and grieving what almost was, BLAZE investigates the carnage of growing up, and sifts through what remains.
The Body Politic explores how individuals develop bodily techniques to negotiate with rigid regulations in totalitarian social environments. We question how highly concentrated power trickles down to private life and how tactics such as coercion, isolation, and fear-mongering affect the ways the physical bodies occupy time and space.
What's the best way to learn about sexual dimorphism and evolutionary biology? With a drag show, of course! Meet the Bower Bird: nature's fine, feathered, landscape architect. He has a collection of sexy bottle caps that he hopes you'll like very much.

Forgotten Solo
HAIR
Savi Stevenoski with Continuum Dance Company
Kat Brown
Hillary Pearson
Forgotten Solo is a performance work that calls upon repetition and temporal practices to engage with questions of embodied alienation, relationality and absence. The work takes the idea of forgotten as a felt experience of absence and seeks to uncover how this absence can be a site of embodied realization.
A HAIR-raising experience of movement being influenced, maniputated and exaggerated from the hair on the dancers heads. Acting as catalyst for the movement, HAIR essentially explores the physicality of ones head of hair as it's own form of movement within the body. How can our hair become the dance and our bodies act as a respndent?
DANCE
Feeling Red brings color to movement and dance. Choreographer, Savi Stevenoski, sees color when listening to music. A phenomenon know as synesthesia. Red is deep and soulful. Red is a big, broad, strong color that symbolizes much more than anger and love. Feeling Red transcribes the color red into movement, into something that the dancers and audience are able to feel. Drawing from the catalogue of Grammy Award-winning R&B legend D'Angelo, this creative exaltation pays homage to the complexities of self love and Black love, while serving as a thumping mixtape celebrating our culture, family, and community.
vapors is a science fiction dance theater piece about time travel. The dancers embody the past, present, and future while pausing and rewinding each other. Movement imagery comes from music box mechanics, 80's infomercials, the physics of freewill, and substances diffused in air. Built using imaginative improvisation practices and rhythmic text, vapors blends crackpot futurism and contemporary dance.

The audience is invited to perform speeches as they would ordinarily perform songs in a karaoke bar. This participatory event plays with the legacy of spoken artifacts, treating snippets and snatches of public address like a Top 40 radio of collective discourse.
Trees talk! In a landmark study, a scientist learned everything about how trees communicate. Or did she? One tree tells the story of what really happened, reminding us that human beings and plants live in one interconnected ecosystem. Presenting the world’s first play told entirely from the point of view of a tree.
Undersigned is a psychological thriller for an audience of one. While the ongoing production is available by invitation only, this experience is releasing a limited number of public slots for Fringe Audiences who dare to venture as much as they seek to gain.

Have you pondered whether liveband karaoke and screaming songs about heartbreak while walking along the Delaware River can really change your life? GO AHEAD will playfully explore self-regulation, selfdoubt, and self-acceptance through autobiographical story-telling and live music.
Abby is bringing the second installment of her original concertstyle show to fringe festivals across the U.S. (Hollywood, Denver, Philadelphia, San Francisco). Recollection is an interactive, dancetheatre piece that contemplates how life experience and the passage of time can simultaneously shape us and break us down. Join us for the most famous love story ever told! This intimate production will reimagine Romeo and Juliet for the modern stage, questioning whether our fate is truly written in the stars or held in the hands of our environment, experiences and choices.

SPEECH
Spruce Street
Lightning Rod Special
Allison Kelly
A satirical scrutiny of the free speech debate and the rapidly shifting terrain of civil discourse within our hypervisible social-media-centered world. Characters careen through different microcosms of American culture in a searing look at how trepidation and performativity infect all aspects of our lives.
Alice receives a cryptic collect call from her dead brother. Determined to reach him, she embarks on a metaphysical journey through airwaves, VHS tapes, and dreams. Spruce Street, an exploration of grief, nostalgia, death, and consequently, love, is also a warning- that being human comes with spiritual and emotional costs.

Threnody is an original theatrical performance that hopes to understand, dissect and undercut our society's relationship to individual grief, collective grief, and the ways in which we can inspire and support one another through hard times. Threnody was created with support from The University of the Arts/Pig Iron School and was first shared publicly at the Philadelphia Arts Bank in December 2021.
Interacting on the subway can be... challenging. Luckily on The Below, you have infinite (and infinitesimal) time to make a connection. Time as a Symptom is a short play about what it means to be humans in a liminal space where nothing is real and the train may never come.

VISUAL VISUAL ART / INSTALLATIONS
Coven
Forever Never Lasts
Courtney Colón
See/Hear Now Pop-Up Enterprises Worldwide
Coven is a loud declaration responding to the blatantly oppressive assault on abortion rights across America. Driven by a call to action, we will test the limits of physical and mental endurance, creating dialogue around access dismantled and overturning a civil right. Coven is about being seen.
Time is fleeting. Everything is on the clock. But! There's a possibility of infinite cycles. Three visual artists including Shannon Cronin, Derek Ayres, and Christine Walinski offer artworks that consider this premise and the liberation that comes with recognizing the temporal for what it is: endless, dependable, inevitable change.
In this exhibit, artist and photographer, Phineas K. Gage pulls back the thin veil of reality to peer into Forgotten Lore Theatre's immersive world, Evermore. In his unique style, Gage's images and abstractions give voice to a dark and inexpressible reality devised from the interwoven imaginations of some of history's greatest literary minds.
